Top customer reviews
I wasn't in love with how the white mounting plate attaches to the patch panel face, but that is most likely because of the way I wanted to install it flush against the face of my media plate. I would have preferred screw holes in the face of the patch panel and in fact I may just drill my own holes in the face plate to simplify the mounting, leaving the white bracket out of the equation all together. For differing applications the mounting bracket would probably be less of a hindrance. I am also only using 8 of the 12 ports due to my gigabit switch only having 8 ports.
Here are the supplies I used to built my media infrastructure:

One plus not listed in the description is that there is a retaining clip on one end that can be easily removed to allow the three 8-port blocks to be separately removed, which makes it easy to mount the panel first and do the punch-downs later. Just make sure that you run all of your cables through the proper route so that you can reattach the block.
The biggest negative aspect is the poor quality cable management clips. There are three (one for each of the sub-blocks) and they are made of a very hard, brittle plastic. I would highly recommend attaching these only after ALL cables have been run to the block, since there is no way to get a punch down tool lined up when the clips are installed. Detaching the clips without breaking them is quite a chore. Depending on how you like to organize your cables, this may also require some planning so you can run the cables through the clip prior to punching them down.
Cons: Price - Seems like it shouldn't cost "twice" as much just because its double the ports.
My usage: I put two drops in every bed room, 2 in kitchen and 2 in garage, 6 in living room, and 2 in sunroom. I also have 2 drops for the wireless access points, and 8 drops for outdoor/indoor security cameras at home. You can basically find a connection within 10 feet of wherever you stand inside the house.
Overall: I haven't filled up all the ports yet, but so far everything is working well. I like to update my feedback after 30 days and 1 year to provide a longer term review of the product.
