Featuring true on-line operation with pure sine wave output, zero transfer time to battery and complete UPS replacement capability with no downtime, the SU6000RT4U provides the highest level of protection available for mission-critical equipment from power outages, voltage fluctuations and transient surges. It converts incoming AC power to DC, and re-converts it back to filtered AC output with a pure sine wave, isolating connected components from all power problems. The SU6000RT4U has a 6kVA/4200W capacity, NEMA L14-30P 4-wire split-phase input and 12 total AC outlets (8 5-15/20R; 2 L6-20R; 2 L6-30R). With its detachable PDU, the SU6000RT4U is easily hot-swappable by a user of any skill set—no need for lengthy and expensive service calls, and no downtime if a repair or battery replacement is needed. In bypass mode, the PDU passes power to equipment without the use of the power and battery modules, allowing them to be removed while keeping your application in operation. UPS battery backup keeps connected equipment operational through short power failures, and provides time to save data and perform an orderly system shutdown in case of a prolonged blackout. The SU6000RT4U’s runtime can be expanded with optional external battery packs. The SU6000RT4U features a highly efficient (94%) economy mode setting that can significantly reduce a facility's energy costs by minimizing heat output, reducing cooling requirements and consuming less electricity. An LCD display with LED indicators enables IT personnel to monitor operating modes and conditions. The LCD/LED panel rotates for viewing in horizontal rack or vertical tower installations and includes an audible alarm that signals various conditions. The SU6000RT4U features a USB port and a DB9 port that, when used with Tripp Lite's PowerAlert software, provides comprehensive network power monitoring and control. An optional network accessory card enables the UPS to operate as a network managed device. The unit requires only 4U of rack space in a standard rack enclosure and can be installed in a 2-post rack using the 2POSTRMKITHD accessory, or in a tower configuration with the 2-9USTAND accessory. The SU6000RT4U comes with $250,000 Ultimate Lifetime Insurance (U.S., Canada, and Puerto Rico only) for connected equipment.

installed recently, running various routers, hubs, and ESXi hosts - tested once by flipping between pole power, gen-1 and gen-2 - nothing blinked - great!
Updated April-2020-had the unit in storage for the last 2 years - brought it back out - plugged in-dead as a doornail-contacted support knowing it's out of warranty - triplite support responded and fast - advised that unit will be dead but work on bypass when batteries dead - got new batteries from Amazon - installed - up and running perfect - trip lite did not disappoint - responded eve though unit's SN is obviously passed warranty by "a few" years -
A note on batteries - we have multiple smaller UPS TRIP-LITE units (mobile command post type environments) and they travel over hard roads at times - the only thing that's annoying is the batteries in those units (NOT THE UNITS) go bad faster - the electronics were of great concern but it turns out the batteries need changing every 2-3 years but the actual units are still bouncing around in M-Series vehicles all over the place just fine - a bit annoyed with the battery situation and it has NOTHING to do with Trip-Lite- just a note for those looking for mobile environments.
After opening our 3rd support ticket since buying this device, Tripp Lite decided to replace the battery packs. Unfortunately, we need TWO battery packs and only received ONE. The UPS finally did turn on, only to inform us that there is a bad battery, so we were instructed to put it in bypass mode. The servers are at least getting power, though they have no battery backup. The UPS continues to beep and will not turn off now. It is now Friday, and Tripp Lite agreed to send out the missing battery pack, which will not be here until sometime next week. This means another weekend with no battery backup for our servers. We are in Florida, and summertime power outages are a regular occurrence.
My biggest concern is that Tripp Lite's support is not proactive at all. They will not even respond to email updates about my open issues. They require me to call in to get anything done. No one there is proactive and checking up on the status of my issue. I have not had this problem with other vendors. Next time we will buy a Cyber Power UPS. I have not had any problems with them.
