Top Customer Reviews
First to clear up some things I've seen on the reviews:
It DOES work on a 220 network.
It DOES NOT convert voltage to 110. Make sure everything you plug into it can handle 220 or the magic smoke will get out and your device will no longer work.
It works in the USA, Hong Kong, Korea and Mainland China (probably more)
I thought the design was quite innovative and attractive. Everything is self contained, slides out, no adapters to loose. Even has a fuse.
In use it worked pretty well, though a couple of minor issues.
-The fuse is on the back (business end) of the unit, pressure applied wrong while fumbling can cause the cover to come off and fuse to pop out. Consider tape.
-While flexible it is a tad flimsy, the way the orientation worked out when plugged into the wall and then a power strip plugged into it sometimes it came out. Some work was required to keep it in.
I purchased and used this in conjunction with this power strip Monster MP OTG400 BK Outlets To Go 4 Outlet Travel Power Strip (Black) and it worked pretty good. I was worried about a blowout but it never happened. At any one time I was charging 2 camera batteries, a cell phone, and Ipod and running a netbook and it all worked.
If your traveling and looking for a universal plug adapter this is a good one.
I am not too sure about surge protection and grounding abilities. To protect things like my laptop etc which really need to be protected from power fluctuations (and Tanzania has a very unstable electric grid), I typically use a high quality APC surge protector between the wall outlet and my electronics to protect against power fluctuations.
So my setup looks like this:
Wall outlet --->Tripshell Plug Adapter ---> multi-outlet APC surge protector ---> plug my US devices in to the APC surge protector strip
Wall outlet --->Multi-outlet APC surge protector purchased in TZ that has their 3-prong rectangular plugs & socket --->Tripshell plug adapter ---> my electronics
For my less expensive/sensitive devices, I eliminate the APC Power strip and just use the Tripshell plug adapter.
I've tried other brands and these have lasted the longest. Some of the cheaper brands blew out as soon as I plugged them in to the wall outlets in Tanzania.
For those who ask, this is NOT a power/voltage converter. It is a plug adapter only.

This worked great for my son's trip to Europe. He was in four countries and could charge his phone without problems.Published 1 day ago by Debra Riegel

Unfortunately, many plugs in Norway are recessed round and these square plugs won't work. Am currently at a hotel where I cannot use this in any of the sockets in my room.Published 1 month ago by Greenfingers
I'm sure that the product works well, but I was unable to use it since all of the outlets that I encountered were circular.Published 1 month ago by Erika Burnett
Exactly what I expected. I haven't been to Europe since I received the plug. I assume it will work and I am delighted to have two charging options.Published 2 months ago by Alfred M. Butzbaugh
Bulky, but it's got everything you need. I can take this to Asia and Europe, and I can hook up both USB and regular plugs into this. Can easily charge an entire family's devices.Published 8 months ago by Jeffrey Lee
