Blog postIt's been two years since I've posted anything... The last 5 have been...
Stressful, frustrating, expensive, emotional, busy, aggravating... Fun, exciting, joyful, happy... Give me any emotion and I can give you an example of a time when I experienced it over the last 5 years.
A year ago I bought a house. The kids and I have been in Colorado for 5 years now. Sissy is now in her Senior year of High School. Booboo is in 8th grade, last year of Junior High.4 months ago Read more -

Blog postWhen I was getting packed and ready to move from California I had a yard sale to try to get rid of what I didn't need or want. We all know as parents that kids alone accumulate a lot of crap that they grow out of.
From clothes to toys and books to all the baby items we must have when they are young. Items that they love and cherish one moment and decide are "for babies" or "little kids" the next. While I certainly did not have any baby items anymore my kids still had pl3 years ago Read more -
Blog postMy ex-husband played every trick in the book to try to get out of paying child support. He is former Military. I do not know the legal system and since he had a lawyer I had no choice but to hire one as well. I have been forced to deplete what little savings I had (I was saving for a down payment to buy a house) to pay for a lawyer, AGAIN. I have already spent over $18,000 on lawyers (most of which has been borrowed from family), first during the divorce (proceedings lasted 18 months) and now ev3 years ago Read more

Blog postWe are now in the 5th week of summer and I hate it... Ex moved to the state 4 months ago so now we share the summer, my kids are at his house every other week... I absolutely hate being away from my kids for a whole week... Every other weekend I don't mind so much, it gives me a break and some kid free time. I run errands, do my shopping and things I cant get done during the week. But a whole week is hard, I miss my kids. I should not have to be away from my kids until they go to college... Blog postI LOVE how these turned out!! I have been meaning to crochet myself a pair of fingerless gloves since before last winter!
I hate when my hands are cold and during the winter my hands are
ALWAYS
COLD.
Last winter I kept a pair of regular gloves in my purse all winter.
I made these with the intent to wear them inside,
all the time!
I found the pattern on Moogly Blog I'm not an expert at crochet by any means, but4 years ago Read more -
Blog postI have been meaning to post this update for quite some time. Especially now that I have lived in a totally different climate for over a year.
I have not used shampoo in 4 1/2 years... Let that sink in... No, my hair is not stinky, greasy, or dirty and I am not bald. I have long curly color-treated hair and it has never been better! Not using shampoo was the best thing for my hair!
Granted this method will not work for everyone, because we all have different hair types.4 years ago Read more -

Since I do not have a recent family photo to use I went with a picture of a beautiful city view with an inspirational quote!

Blog postI can not wait for Autumn to begin! I am over the summer heat and ready for the beautiful fall colors! I only wish it lasted longer, Autumn is over all too quickly and then the snow will begin and freeze my toes... Facebook is covered with "back to school pictures" my kids have not started yet but the beginning is just around the corner. Then the homework madness will ensue.
We have had a good summer! It was difficult having my kids gone for three weeks but also a nice4 years ago Read more -
Blog postOne week down, two more to go.
My kids are spending three weeks with their dad which means I am Kid-Free for 3 weeks...
The day I took the kids to the airport, afterwards a friend of mine asked "are congratulations or condolences in order?" which was very fitting. On the one hand I miss my kids like crazy, yet it is nice getting a break from being mom all the time. Being able to run errands by myself, go out if I want without needing a sitter, I only have myse5 years ago Read more -
Blog postI love it when things work out the way I hope!
I put together an indoor scavenger hunt for my kiddos, who are now 13 & 9. I have been trying to find new ways to entertain them this summer without electronics and without "needing" to go somewhere. The older they get the harder it seems to be... However the scavenger hunt was a TOTAL SUCCESS!! They worked together taking turns, used their imaginations and had fun!!!
For #46, they took a picture of me!!

Blog postIt seem a little silly how much I love holding this in my hands! It is not even a real book yet, but it is a work in progress and just having something to hold, something tangible, makes it seem more real! It makes the dream seem like more of a reality!!!
I printed the first rough draft so I could easily re-read it and make notes and such for editing.
I once hoped to have it completed by now, but life has gotten in the way a bit and writing a book can be a slow process. H5 years ago Read more -
Blog postI have been single for over a year now. I do not need a man in my life, nor am I wanting a relationship exactly, but I am ready to date. Have fun, be ME, once in a while, not just MOM. The problem is, I don't know how?
I never really did the "dating thing" I was trying to when I met the EX. I will know better this time if some guy tries to sweep me off my feet. I have kids now to think about. They are a huge factor in me dating. It will be a long time before I even conside5 years ago Read more -
Blog postThe instant gratification part was my sisters idea so I cant take full credit.
I have had a chore chart for my kids for quite some time. Recently my daughter requested a raise in the amount of money she earns per chore, to which I agreed and added this new intensive with instant gratification.
I must confess I have been very bad about paying out allowance in the past. There was a constant tally of IOU's on sticky notes. I rarely have cash on hand so at the end of the week5 years ago Read more -

Blog postFor so many years I felt kinda guilty that my kids had never experienced snow.
Although I certainly did not miss it myself.
I grew up in Colorado. I have many great memories from my childhood of playing in the snow! From building an igloo in my front yard, making snow angles, going sledding. Building a slide in a friends backyard and we got it wet, which froze, to make us slide better and faster!! Not to mention the occasional "SNOW DAY", waiting impatiently5 years ago Read more -

Blog postSo, I have had one of these sitting around my bedroom for quite sometime with no use for it. It used to be under the sink in my bathroom to help organize all the junk under there. Also works in kitchen cabinets. After I moved I didn't need it under the sink anymore so it has been in the corner of my bedroom not being used.
Tonight as I was getting comfortable in bed and putting my laptop on my lap I realized it would make the perfect table for my laptop! It elevates my laptop slight5 years ago Read more -

Blog postIn the beginning of January 2015, we adopter another cat from a local animal shelter. We named him Loki, although he wasn’t a Loki at all, he was only a year old, (the size of a small cat, but not full grown) he was pretty, sweet, loving and he liked to cuddle! My favorite type of cat! We already had another cat in the house named Ginger. Loki was the best cat and he was certainly a momma’s boy, he would follow me around the house and was always on my lap whenever I was sitting down! Even in an5 years ago Read more

Blog postI made the mistake of marrying a Narcissist.
It has been almost a year since he left me (and our children) and yet I am still nowhere near being officially divorced.
Why you ask? First off, the state of California does have a 6 month time frame and there was also a delay in the initial filing due to a deployment which he did not even complete. But once something was filed the clock started ticking and even the 6 months should be up by now. Primarily, he will5 years ago Read more

I began writing a blog in April 2007. I wanted to convert my blog to a book for those who would like to read my story (blog) from the beginning, just the story without the other blog hopping posts, etc. that come in-between. When you are finished reading this book you can continue to read my story on my blog along with all the other fantastic aspects it has to offer!
