Dogs are very playful and intelligent animals. Channel their energy and curiosity into something positive with TRIXIE's Mad Scientist for Dogs. It's designed for the intermediate canine gamer. Simply place treats inside any of the three beakers and cover with our lids with holes. Once the beakers are correctly flipped and balanced upside down, the treats will be released. We've included two sets of lids, each with a different pattern of holes through which your dog must navigate the treat. Mix and match the lids for varying levels of difficulty. The non-slip rubber feet keep the game in place as your dog explores. We've also included an instructional booklet with tips and tricks for challenging and training dogs of all ages through play. One year warranty. Measures 9 x 7 x 13 inches. Weight 2 lbs.

My only compliant is the absolute lack of packaging that this toy came in; just a shipping label on the toy's cardboard box. The sides weren't even taped. Also, I am positive this toy wasn't new as I found dog hair in the tubes. I am guessing it was returned? It looks a bit weathered but not chewed up.
Overall, I would recommend this toy for small dogs or dogs not likely to aggressively play with it (the frame just snaps into the base and is terribly wobbly). It's more than sturdy enough for us, however and my guy and I are extremely pleased.
This toy disassembles for very easy cleaning, and I put the cups right into my dishwasher.
For dogs that are not paw oriented, you may need to teach them how to use this. My Saint Bernard is easily frustrated and quickly gave up on this toy, so I had to pull out my clicker and use it to actually teach him to paw target the cups through shaping. My shaping plan worked out to be:
* Click for looking at it
* Click for approaching it
* Click for sniffing
* Click for nosing
(tiny extinction burst when I started waiting for the next criteria)
* Click for any lifting of paw
* Click for paw contact
* Click for any tilting
* Click for tipping
After that, he was tipping it on his own and was largely self-sufficient when playing with this.
I will say that this toy is very lightweight, so it's pretty easy for a dog to knock it over on the side. I would like this a lot better if the bottom were weighted for more stability.
This was the perfect size for my 38 lb Chow mix, but is a little smaller than I'd like for my Saint - I have to fill the cups pretty often for him! I have seen on Facebook some links for DIY toys which are very similar to this one, and I may try one of those to see if I can make this in a larger size more appropriate for a giant breed dog.
But this makes him to have fun to eat, he eats everything whatever I fill up!! And I think it also makes him smart. I recommend this product.
