I read book one when it was a free download then immediately bought the box set. The reason I loved these books was that Kate and her daily struggles were relatable to any mom, other than kicking demon butt. This is one of the best e-book series I've read.

Saying this is Betty Crocker meets Buffy is not quite accurate. Kate Connors considers cereal and a quick vacuum a daily success, while keeping the demons of her past nicely hidden. Raising a teenager and toddler should be enough to keep her hopping, but there always seems to be another powerful demon that Kate rubbed the wrong way during her time as a demon hunter popping up in San Diablo. Apparently the Forza has no retirement package so Kate has to battle eye shadow limits, potty training and cocktail parties while keeping her little town demon free.

This is a great series. Funny and clean with great writing and a very unique story line, you can't help but like it. Us slightly older moms will really relate to the leading lady as she tackles the ups and downs of life as a remarried widow/mother and demon-hunter.

Weirdly I like this series. It is kind of a paranormal mystery with a real life twist relating to everyday happenings sandwiched between the unbelievable. I must be getting sentimental in my old age.

I love this author and recommend everything she writes. I have the first five books in print but haven't read the 6th so decided to read them all again. And at 99 cents? WHOO!! HOO!!! This is about the trials and tribulations of your everyday soccer mom who just happens to kill demons. Seriously? A fun read.

I positively love this series!
This is what we might have seen had a series been made about Buffy the Vampire Slayer in middle-age, with kids, a mortal hubby, and a best friend living over her back fence.
Foibles, snark, butt-kicking, super-momming, and basically juggling all the duties & challenges of a woman who can do it all but keeps getting sidetracked by the need to rescue people or save her community from monstrous bad guys.
Lots of fun!

I loved these books. The storyline held up well through all five books, the characters were easy to like, dislike or be amused by (often all three) and the books were well written and long enough that I got almost a week of reading myself to sleep from them. Ms. Kenner is a wondrous storyteller, graced with humor. This read is a steal at less than a buck, I have no problem suggesting it to readers who like the genre.

Maybe because the heroine already knows what she wants out of life, maybe because she is a grown up, maybe because she has a teenage daughter, as do I...I found myself really enjoying this series. You don't often find paranormal heroines that espouse traditional values while trying to clean up their neighborhoods.
