Cons: Not perfectly balanced with the handle so they do tip over when empty, clip to connect them is stiff so it's not the easiest to disconnect or reconnect, no 3/4 cup
Overall, I am very pleased with these new measuring cups. My former ones were all the same color and were very off-balance so they tipped over constantly, sometimes even when filled with something. They were on keyring which broke fairly quickly. These new ones are much, much better, and I really appreciate the metric markings since I have several French cookbooks with everything in metric -- no more on-the-fly guesses or consulting a table to figure out the amounts! The color coding is handy once you learn them. I do wish they had a little more weight in the cups so that they were perfectly balanced, but they are pretty good -- they won't tip over if they have something in them. Also, the clip that holds them together is a little TOO secure as it's hard to connect and disconnect (my 7 year old daughter couldn't undo it). However, it does keep them secure. Some people will miss the 3/4 cup, but it's not that critical for me.
1 cup is Orange
1/2 Cup is Yellow
1/3 Cup is Red
1/4 Cup is Blue
1/8 cup is Green
I'm not sure if they are all like that or if I just got lucky with a newer set? Also, the green in the picture is a lot prettier (it looks kind of mossy on my computer screen, but it is more of a lime/standard green really).
My other complaint involves the colors of the cups. Let me explain. We bought two sets of measuring cups. In one set the 1 cup size is yellow and the other set it is orange. In one set the 1/2 cup size is red and in the other it is yellow. What I was hoping for was uniformity so that I could simply memorize the colors and reach in the drawer and grab the size that I need by color. It's not so much the full cup size that matters, but the smaller cups when you get down to a 1/3 or a 1/4 cup it can be hard to tell the difference at a glance. Uniformity would have helped. Obviously, if all you are buying is one set then none of this would matter.

These are sturdy and I love the fun colors! Easy to tell which is the size I need by the color do so don't have to constantly stop and read the handle.Published 1 month ago by KPerry
These are nice, substantial measuring cups, and I like the rounded inside contour, as it is easy to get things out with a spoon. They lost a star because there is no 3/4 cup size. Read morePublished 1 month ago by scuba-diveguy
