I’ve used this for a few salads (with vegetables, fruits, nuts, and/or chicken) and this does a good job cutting everything down to a smaller size in just a few minutes.May be difficult to use for people with smaller/weaker hands (I find that I do better using 2 hands) or those with arthritis.

This tongs are great for making salads and even for chopping other items like ham, cooked chicken or cheese. I had a pair of chopping tongs (a different make however) that broke, handle cracked, after years of use and I really missed not having a pair in my kitchen. These tongs are a more light weight and do not look quite as sturdy with being plastic than the previous one I had but hope they also will serve us a long time. The blades are very sharp and the spring handle mechanism is easy to use. There is a latch to hold the tongs closed for storage but it's also made of plastic rather than metal so not sure how much endurance it will have if knocked about. The tongs came packaged attached to a piece of cardboard with the cutting blades covered in a clam shell material which surprisingly was easy to remove when the plastic ties that attached the handles were clipped which sometimes can be the hardest part to do. This cutting tongs I found to be on the expensive side especially being handles of plastic but still an nice tool to have in the kitchen.
