I just found this series, and it has some remarkable information. They cover subjects relating to health of both body and mind, and covering many cultures, and modalities. It's not weird, but it might be called "alternative", but with a grounded presentation.
The Kabbala teacher was interesting, but the interview was very short and many other things are well known and some advise is stereotypical. Like, eat your breakfast. :) But I don't think this is the right advice. Like many common beliefs, it is wrong. According to my experience, heavy breakfast leads to weight gain and increase appetite during the day. The body is not even ready to eat early in the morning sometimes. :) Anyway, the presentation is like for kids. No in-depth analysis of anything.
Really well done series! Lays out some great information in an easy to consume and understand way. And he talks about not just "alternative" but real everyday things we're already doing and explains why we (or at least I) was doing them wrong (like which vitamins, etc.) and how to make simple yet impactful corrections. Great series for anyone and everyone!
Mr. Karlfeldt misrepresents himself as a medical doctor. He isn't. There's no such thing as a doctor of naturopathy. He received his Phd (in philosophy), and training from an unaccredited correspondence school which has since gone out of business. (Calvert college) This isn't meant as an ad hominem attack. We should always check our sources of information, right?
The best advice in the show is at the very beginning of each episode. "Seek professional advice". This isn't it.
The good information in this show ("ease up on the antimicrobial soap", "exercise, eat veggies.." ) is overshadowed by outright DANGEROUS advice, and bogus claims: (prana therapy or reiki for terminal illnesses? Ozone treatment?). Prominently features misinformation about vaccinations, hormones in foods, vitamin/supplement efficacy.
If you're suffering from an illness, please get help through legitimately proven medicines and care, not hucksters such as these.

Before I was introduced to natural remedies 3 years ago I believed naturopathic medicine was quackery. Dr Karlfeldt has much knowledge plus 30 years of experience in helping people build back their immune system! I am a huge skeptic in all things but I have witnessed first hand how naturopathic medicine does work. I am a forever believer that our bodies can heal if given the right tools. No more lyme. No more multiple sclerosis. Thank you Dr Karlfeldt in helping others, healing others, educating others and speaking truth when it is not popular!
