The critically acclaimed production duo known as the Sound Providers, are back again this time, with a new secret weapon: up and coming Florida-based emcee Surreal. Jay Skills and Soulo, the two-man hip-hop production team have been blessing eardrums since their first release, Dope Transmission b/w The Field, in 1998. Their ''back to basics'' format of flavorful beats, scratched choruses, and hype rhymes, garner the Sound Providers a/k/a/ SP's an enthusiastic following which continue to grow with each release. In 2001, when faced with the departure of lead emcee, Profile, the SP's moved forwarded and collaborated with come of their favorite emcees such as Asher (of Unspoken Heard) and Little Brother to name a few. Recently they've teamed up with Tampa Bay emcee Surreal. This longtime hip-hoop fanatic has been steadily making moves, paying dues and retiring scores of emcee within a 500 mile radius of his lab in Tampa Bay. A true emcee in every sense of the word, he has the ability to switch from braggadocios battle emcee to soulful and introspective artist with an innate flow that only comes from a gifted and natural performer. Recognizing this raw talent, the SPs quickly teamed up with him and the result is True Indeed, a new album crafted by two of the best producers in the game today.

Since True Indeed arrived it has been a mainstay for my daily commute the jazz influenced sound is on point and gives a good beat, Surreal as an MC has his moments of great writing, but can come off as a bit amateurish or cliche at times, but shows great promise and could really develop into a high quality writer with an already smooth flow.

It has been a long time since I've heard an album that hits the nail on the head. The beats are solid, the rhymes are phat and everything just flows. There are very few artists making music like this today but it's so refreshing from the horrid garbage the record industry seems to think we need to hear. Would highly recommend this album.

Die Sound Providers sind zurück. Nach den beiden genialen Alben "An Evening with the Sound Providers" und "Looking Backwards" haben sich die Götter der jazzigen Beats nun mit Surreal zusammengetan. Dabei präsentieren sie sich in gewohnt lässig, chilliger Atmosphäre mit vielen Klimper-Beats und einigen Tracks, die komplett ohne Raps auskommen. Für alle, die gemütlich aufm Sofa oder sonstwo liegen und im Hintergrund gern gemütliche Musik laufen lassen, ist das hier genau das Richtige.
Gefällt mir sehr gut, trifft meinen Geschmack und so bleibt mir nichts anderes als die Höchstwertung.

タイトなヒップホップビートにセンス抜群のJazzループ、

JazzyHipHopの代名詞サウンドプロバイダーズとしては通算3枚目のアルバム。

悪くはないが、1stの「An Evening With The Sound Providers」と比べるとやや不満。

決して悪いわけではなく素晴らしくJazzyな出来なのだが、どうにもループがシンプル過ぎる。

彼らの長所でもあり短所でもあるわけだが、とにかくシンプル。地味というと言い過ぎだが。

今回、新たにオリジナルMCとしてフロリダの新鋭Surrealを迎えた。

ラップは比較的軽いが決して悪くない。問題はどうにも単調なことである。

個人的には1stのようにゲストMCとして何人か迎えてセッションしてほしかった。

ただでさえループがシンプルなのだから緩急付けたラップで曲にカラーを出すしかなかろう。

サウンドプロバイダーズとしては今後どういう方向性でやっていくか分からないが、

個人的には1stのような趣向でそれを超えるアルバムを作ってもらいたい。
