My name is Jay Rice, I'm 55 years old, and live in the foothills of the Blue Ridge Mountains of Virginia. I have been interested in the Paranormal and Cryptozoology for over 25 years. I am the founder of Appalachian Spirits Paranormal Research Organization. I have many hobbies such as fishing, hiking, camping, gardening, Paranormal and Criptid research, and writing. I have been saving notes for my books for many, many years, hoping to write upon retirement, but the itch got to be too much for me. I have written two books currently with a third on the way.

An Intriguing Read

Jay Rice has a simple writing style that keeps the reader turning the pages of his new book. This book is very compact, but still delivers an entertaining read. Although I have never met the author personally, I felt like I was sitting across the room from him on a barrel in an old country store listening intently as he wove mental pictures of some very unusual occurrences. I found myself carried away watching as he, his family, and friends encountered the unexplainable. If you enjoy stories about paranormal happenings, then by all means you need to read a copy of this book. I enjoyed it very much.

BEWARE Ripoff Warning! This is just a pamphlet, not a book

I can't believe that I paid money to buy this book and read it! It can't be more than 25 pages long but you won't know unless you count the pages because the author didn't even bother to number the pages. This is the worst waste of my hard earned dollars that I have ever spent. Don't let the good reviews mislead you. They must have been written by his few good friends. It's poorly written and just meant to take your money by tricking you into thinking that this is a book. I should have just returned this book when I saw what it was. Shame on Jay Rice for taking my money and for taking anyone's money who was tricked into buying what they thought was a book. The stories are lame and I've heard the same stories in other books. Nothing new here. Nothing to see. Not worth the money.

The majority of stories in this book are only a couple of paragraphs long. No detail is added at all. I feel this book was rushed and the author didn't care too much about it. The stories are stale and have been told before. The layout is horrible, there are no page numbers or index. I feel that the author needs to take the time to completely revise this book.
