Format: Hardcover
I don't recommend this book to anyone who's looking for informative debate on the subject. The book is poorly written. There are no quotations, almost no specific names or references to the works of others, as if the debate about humanity progress never existed before the author decided to write about it. Moreover, the book presents author's opinion on subjects that he is not a specialist in, did not discuss with specialists and has very superficial knowledge about. There is little factual information, the majority of the text consists of descriptions of imaginary situations for which no basis is provided. Reading this book presents little difference from talking to a random person on the street.

Example: in the chapter on aging the author claims that "there are two kinds of anti-aging research"; this claim is not supported by any quote or reference, and is simply the author's personal opinion and a misinformation to the non-biologist readers. The description of the "first kind of aging research" lacks any concrete details, no names of scientists or laboratories are provided. The "second kind of aging research", according to the book, is represented by a single man named Aubrey de Grey. The book is not able to introduce any results produced in de Grey's lab, and describes his actions as "he sets as his target", "his goal is", he "offers the current plan", he is "searching", "focusing on", he "thinks", and he "wants".
