Trump vs. China: Facing America's Greatest Threat Hardcover – October 22, 2019
Purchase options and add-ons
The United States is currently engaged in a competition with the Chinese government unlike any other that we have witnessed before. This is a competition between the American system—which is governed by freedom and the rule of law—and a totalitarian dictatorship that is controlled by the Chinese Communist Party. These are two different visions for the future; one will succeed, and one will fail.
It is possible for America to respond to the Chinese Communist Party's efforts, but doing so will require new thinking, many big changes, and many hard choices for our leaders in government and private sector.
Newt Gingrich's Trump vs. China serves as a rallying cry for the American people and a plan of action for our leaders in government and the private sector. Written in a language that every American can understand but still rich in detail and accurate in fact, Trump vs. China exposes the Chinese Communist Party's multi-pronged threat against the United States and what we must do as a country to survive.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 9, 2020I went through this book fairly quickly and I agree with a lot of views of the author. In fact, I myself know Mandarin Chinese very well, and I know the story from the other side. I can tell that Newt gets it right. The China Communist Party is a real (versus imaginary) threat to the world order. Over the years, they have infiltrated into many world organizations (such as WHO) and western countries (such as U.S., Australia) so as to manipulate the world order to their advantage. They signed a lot of international treaties, but never had the intention to honor any of them. They are not the friend of U.S., and they are not a good neighbor. They in fact represent a grave thread to the current world. If you don't believe so, just look at what they have done in the current covid-19 pandemic. I think every American should read this book, and take a serious look at the China regime.
- Reviewed in the United States on September 29, 2020I would give this book 10 stars if I could. This book is an eye opener to what has been going on under the guise of China being an under developed country ie (needing all the help it can get). This makes our upcoming election all the more important that Joe China does not win. As President Trump states over and over again if Biden wins China wins. This book was written before the corona virus was sent to us special delivery from General Secretary Xi Jinping,
if we can't see from this deliberate action that the CCP cannot be trusted I do not know what it will take.
The situation at hand is deadly serious, our country's very existence depends on this election and who is at the helm to keep China in line.
- Reviewed in the United States on November 5, 2019China is a totalitarian communist dictatorship. It's a common sense to a person who is originally from China. Unfortunately, it takes western counties so many years to realize this basic fact. Fortunately, it is finally revealed. I never doubt there will be a war (cold or hot) between China and US allies early or late. If the war does not happen this time, it will certainly happen in 30 years. God bless the free people of US as well as the innocent people in China.

- Reviewed in the United States on May 26, 2020This is a great book. Don't let the title fool you. It is about Trump and China but Gingrich talks a lot about what China is up to and what we need to do to stay ahead. It is a great refresher on recent Chinese history as well. This book outlines what America needs to do to stay ahead.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 25, 2020Fast service. Arrived ahead of schedule and book had a paste in author’s autograph. Timely with all that is going on with China taking the US to the cleaners. Finally a President, President Trump that understands foreign policy putting America first instead of the politicians’ pocketbooks first. We are heading for prosperous times with Pres Trump.
- Reviewed in the United States on March 10, 2021Excellent book explaining how America is in a battle with China in terms of protecting liberty and the American way of life. Keep America Great!
- Reviewed in the United States on December 15, 2019Only President Trump recognize that CCP HAS BEEN the most vicious enemy of American, Chinese, Hong Kong people, and people all over the world, and take real measure to suppress its aggression towards the world.

VTDCTUReviewed in Canada on October 11, 20205.0 out of 5 stars Perfect timing!
This book was published at the perfect time, helping us understand why the US-China relationship has dramatically turned so bad.
cartoisbReviewed in the United Kingdom on August 8, 20205.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for understanding the long-term threat posed by totalitarian China; Not about Trump
Trump vs. China is not a book about Trump. It is about China. I assume that the inclusion of “Trump” in the title was done in order to draw attention to the book, although I suspect that it will also have turned off Trump-haters who would regard it as not to be taken seriously. In fact, this book is an excellent discussion and analysis of the current political and economic position and long-term strategy of the Chinese Communist Party and why it poses an existential threat to the Western way of life characterised by freedom and the rule of law. It is detailed, including for example a 29-page chapter on the importance of 5G for China’s strategy aimed at gaining control of the internet and communication networks of the future, something you only get soundbites on from the mainstream media. I found fascinating the comparison between Chess and Go strategy and how China uses the Sun Tzu model of advancing its strategic and military interests through subtlety. Many people forget that Newt Gingrich began his career as a history professor, and this comes across in his writing, which is clear and accessible and with a measured tone.
