I've read all of these and was simply riveted by Anna's story. She was completely broken in ways no one but someone with a strong background in safe, sane, consensual BDSM could ever understand. Stephan didn't set out to make her his sub or even his girlfriend but he could communicate with her on a level she needed. She needed the loving care and structured environment Stephan provided for her to be able to heal. Then the all encompassing love they share helped build the bridge too.

This last book kept me up until 4am because I just couldn't put it down. The evolution of Anna from Slave to now has been heart rending. All those people that looked down on Stephan because of his Dom lifestyle put her through as much pain as Ian did by keeping them apart! She needed his rules and level of care to provide her the grounding sorely missing in her life. She was an innocent child trained viciously to be a mindless sexual entity and repository for men's vile treatments. She would never be able to feel normal- her "training" hard wired certain things into her psyche and Stephan as a Dom could read her tells and help her.

This is truly a love story. These people lived their lifestyle without shame but not in a manner to do harm. Don't judge others unless you have walked in their shoes. If I could find my Stephan I'd be more than happy to "play" with him if for nothing else than being the recipient of his tender, loving aftercare! Great series- loved the characters and these books!

I received my copy from the publisher through NetGalley

I had very high hopes for this book. I’ve been following Brianna’s journey from the very start and devoured ‘Slave’,’ Need’ and ‘Truth’. The way ‘Truth’ ended nearly killed me. I couldn’t believe the author would leave us hanging just after she’d forced Brianna apart from the man who has been holding her fragile life together. So to say that I was awaiting this fourth and final instalment with baited breath and great expectations would be an understatement.

And, in many ways this book lived up to my hopes. It was wonderful to watch Brianna as she very slowly grows stronger, less prone to panic attacks and, eventually, determined to do whatever it takes to make sure that those who harmed her will get what they deserve. I loved that Sherri Hayes didn’t try to turn this into a magical recovery during which the girl transformed from someone afraid of her own shadow into a sort of kick-as heroine over night. The steps Brianna takes are small and not without their setbacks, and that is what made her journey believable and fascinating, to follow not to mention heartbreakingly emotional at times. The way she slowly learns to recognise and accept herself and her feelings was uplifting and beautiful.

“Stephan may not own me in the way that Ian had, but he owned my heart and, with it, my body and soul.” - Brianna

I wasn’t quite as impressed with Stephan in this book. For a character who, up until this book, had been a prime example of one who is in total control of his life and always trying to think ahead to the possible consequences of his actions, he made one or two strange, not to say, unlikely decisions.

I read Anna's story In 'Slave' a number of years ago. I was so captivated by it that I kept waiting for the sequel. After a few years of not finding one, I forgot about it. Then one day I came across it again on my old kindle. I instantly recalled how much I had loved the story and how well written it had been. I decided to read it again. It was just as good as I remembered, end I was surprised to find that not only had the author written another book, but she had finished three others! Needless to say, I immediately purchased all three. I needed to follow Anna's journey, so that I could find my HEA ending for her... and Stephen. I was not disappointed, the books were just as exciting as the first and just as well written. I couldn't put them down. I loved what Ms. Hayes did with Anna's life. Thankkfully, she did not make it wonderful and perfect. She made it difficult, sad at times, and real. Anna had moments of triumphs and happiness, but she also had struggles and setbacks. She probably always would. Still, she became stronger and less broken in each book, and through it all she had Stephens amazing love. This is the perfect ending to a perfect story. Have never read anything else by this author, but I can hardly wait to look her up and see what over amazing adventure she can take me on.

Warning : Before purchasing make sure you have plenty of tissues on hand!

This is the perfect ending to this series, it's not all rainbows and butterflies..it's what would probably happen in real life. I have followed this series from the beginning and have imagined a million different ways the ending could go, and couldn't pick a better conclusion myself. There is all much I want to say but I promised myself not to give away any spoilers on this one and ruin it for someone else. I am sad to see the ending because I want more of Stephen and Anna...I want more of their future together, battles and triumphs, as we all know who have followed the story will be a lifelong happening, but as most would say that's a story for a different time. We are blessed as readers to be able to follow along with this series as it takes us thru the full range of emotions from beginning to end. Thank you to Sherri Hayes for sharing this story with us as this one will be with me for a long time!
