This charger system does not cost a lot, does the job on a variety of Rechargeables, can do individual batteries vs. having to install two at a time, and incorporates the Red (charging), and Green (charged) LEDS as indicators. Of the many low cost chargers out there at this time, I have had my share of those really cheap quality square-box plug in chargers that half the time do not work, and their internal circuitry is not much more than a Varyistor & Zener Diode. This unit is considerably better quality.

I Purchased my trustfire charger in july/2012. It Charges my 18650 lithium-ion batteries reliably. I've read in some charger reviews about other chargers getting very hot, melting the plastic case, and some even catching on fire.

Not this one. When charging, it gets barely warm. Probably because it charges at 500 Ma. So it charges at a slow even rate. Some other chargers are rated at 600 Ma or higher.

Your batteries will last longer and charge cooler at 500 Ma or lower. It is a fact in battery technology that the the faster a battery is charged, the shorter it's effective lifespan is.

For example, if you have ever used a 15 or 30 minute quick charger for a power tool. One thing you'll notice is the battery gets real hot, real fast. Same thing here. I've never stood over my charger saying "come on, hurry up". This charger will top off your batteries in 2 to 4 hours. That's ok with me.

I would buy this charger again if need be. It does what it's supposed to do very well, and at a good price.

So far so good. I've charged about a dozen 18550, 14500 and CR123 batteries and it seems to work fine. It doesn't too hot with continued charging.

A little note. This thing chargers any 3.6 lithium 60mm long and smaller, just in case you have a batt that isn't listed.

I own several flashlights that fit onto military riles and they use rechargeable CR2 batteries. These batteries are 3 VDC rated at 800 mAh. They cannot be safely charged with a standard lithium ion battery charger as those chargers are rated to charge at 4.2 VDC at ½ to 1 amp. You really have to have a 3 VDC charger.

This charger is ideal as it has a switch on the side to switch it from 4.2 to 3 VDC. The unit actually puts out 3.43VDC but that is good enough for a safe charge of these lower voltage batteries. The unit comes with a power cord and it operates on 100 to 240 VDC. The CR2 batteries that I charge are a little short in the charging channels and I used 4 pennies to extend their length and make them fit into the charging channels. Just make sure that you install the pennies staggered like I show in the video so the dual charging channels are not shorted together.

This is a nice inexpensive battery charger for specialty batteries and it works well for me and I rated it at 5 stars.

FANTASTIC CHARGER FOR AN INCREDIBLY REASONABLE PRICE!!!!!

Quite a while back, I purchased a few TrustFire flashlights and at first had no problem with the included charger. HOWEVER! Nearly a year later I started getting into the whole DIY e-cig thing and figured out pretty quickly that I really needed a MUCH better and much more reliable charger for a few new TrustFire batteries I already had, BUT MOSTLY I needed a GOOD charger for several high end 18650 sized Panasonic batteries I bought specifically for multiple e-cigs. So, I found this charger here on Amazon. It's made by TrustFire and not only charges 18650s, but other sizes as well.

I have REALLY come to depend on this charger and have ZERO complaints about it (ok, 2 b truthful, I wish I'd found it sooner!!!)

Each side of the charger has sliding contacts that allow you to charge several different sizes of battery. I only use it for my 18650s and have not a single complaint. I've found that this reasonably priced charger has really helped me with different sizes of batteries.

You get a lot for the minute cost and it will serve your needs and last you a long time!

This is a well designed, accurate charger and I have used both the 3.0 and 4.2 volt settings. And it has a REAL power cord and does not force you to hang it out of an outlet. It goes green when done. My CR-123 Li-Ion equivalent worked perfectly and charged a pair of them in 2.5 hours. The big batteries I use (18650s) took just over 7 hours. The charger says it will do 500ma and it must mean total since a pair of 4000 mAh batteries took over 7 hours which makes sense. It did not over-charge (some do) and was right on the money at 3.05 and 4.21 volts at "float." I have not tried the car charge option, but I suspect I will some day when I get the cable (it is optional).

Read the reviews and decided to try this charger out given its low price point, if it worked great if it didn't no big deal. Well, it works just fine. For each independent charging channel the LEDs are lit green, then install your discharged Li-ion battery/batteries and the LED/LEDs turn red while charging. As the batteries near the end of charging the LEDs actually color change from red to orange to chartreuse to finally, bright green. Ending voltage 4.20 volts where they are supposed to be, pull them out when they are done. Just follow the general safety guidelines for lithium-ion battery use and stick with protected batteries and you will be good to go with this charger. One important point - pay attention to your battery's rated voltage and match it with the charger's voltage setting switch ( 3.6 or 3.0) on the side of the unit. I'm pretty sure this unit charges at 500ma ( max for 10440 batteries).
