Her friend Ellen is getting married soon and Gina needs a new date for the wedding and her new roommate has a solution. Ethan is just the ticket to solve Gina's date problem. Yet, is he really the solution or is playboy Chris the right man for Gina. This is a funny, clean romance comedy with a happy ever after ending. I liked this book and I think the rest of you reader will too.
Just FYI~ Contains NO sex or swearing
Gina doesn’t know if she should go with her heart and the sparks or if she should take the safe road. She has to pick one and take him to the wedding, she decides to take neither. Gina sure is surprised when both turn up what will she do?
Gina's 10 year relationship ended when she realized her long term boyfriend was never going to pop the question. She wants it all, family, children, marriage but she knew she'd never get that with George. Unfortunately, she wasted 10 years on him. Now she's ready to move on and she refuses to be with someone who' not looking for a serious relationship.
Chris has working with Gina for 5 years and he's always with a new girl every time she sees him. So when he gets a better offer at another company Gina's not sure how to feel. Dared into being his date for a dinner with his new boss Gina is excited and nervous at the same time. Not to mention she's running herself ragged with Ethan, another date she's made plans with through her roommate.
I loved it. I didn't enjoy how much Gina tried to push and push and push and the fact that her roommate kept telling her to be different. She should have trusted her own instincts regardless of what they were. Chris seemed so nice and you could almost tell what he was thinking.
This was just a short novella and there are other stories in the series but this was a freebie on Amazon and it definitely makes me want to check out the rest of the series. Very interesting characters. I did keep getting Rachel and Kristen confused for some reason but that might be my own thing. Either way, good story, great characters, and you could feel the tension and passion. Loved it.
Gina Hall wasted TEN YEARS on a man who won't propose and broke it off. Her bestie Kristen, playing truth or dare, dared Gina into going out with a "nice guy" Ethan. But when Gina had to plan a party for the office playboy Chris Bradley, Chris dared her to play his girlfriend to get a flirty colleague off his trail. And Gina found Chris was much more fun... but he's not sticking around... And Gina now must make a critical choice... Go with the sure Ethan with no spark, or fight for Chris and risk wasting time on another player who won't commit?
Triangle setup was quite good, and while the ending was pretty much pre-ordained, the fun is how it got there.
