To one who never learned of activities of the "Illuminati", Masons, Globalist Bankers, Rothschilds, Federal Reserve, and other "secret" societies, this book may appear to be lunatic fringe conspiracy theories. To consider the possibility of the Bloodlines as those who really control the world, would be beyond the comprehension or consideration of such being the case. If such were true, and if this has been part of the true world history, we would have heard of it in the main-stream news media and in our public schooling system. But when our controllers determine school curricula and "news" content, we would never learn the truth. When confronted with Icke's allegation of extra-terrestrial influence and control, one would reject this book as total delusion.
Yet, had one like me who has studied the history of the Powers That Be, Icke's book just "connects the dots" and adds more supporting information to one's knowledge. The normal mind-set of the average person would find it difficult to process the content of this book. Regarding the machinations of the Ruling Elite, one's reaction would be, "They wouldn't do that". "They" wouldn't plan wars to reduce population, and to rearrange world maps to suit their agenda. Much of Icke's material is supported by Carroll Quigley's book, "Tragedy & Hope" which covers the source of Cecil Rhode's desire for secret societies to spread English dominance over the world.
From our public education system, most of us are indirectly taught to hate history, but not realizing that the version of world and American history as taught in the schools is fabricated, and not worth the paper it is written on. Even if one accepts the the truth as revealed by Quigley, Icke, Sutton, Gatto, Iserbyt, and others, one must ask how these rulers have a strangle-hold on humanity without some extra-terrestrial help. Icke's information about Wall Street and the Soviet Revolution and of Nazi Germany are supported by the research of Antony Sutton. The Rockefellers, Rothschilds, Masons, Vatican are not the ultimate rulers. There are, or must be, some beings in another dimension who control them. If so, then how can we fight an enemy that we cannot see?
I had read Icke's other book, "The Biggest Secret" 1999 before I had read "and the truth....". It had many references to "and the truth....". Therefore, I read this book which was published in 1995. I wish that I had known of this book in 1995. But then, what would my reaction been at that time 19 years ago? I would never had learned of David Icke until I got my computer in 2007.

I really enjoyed this book. It was very detailed and was in alignment with many books that I have read over the course of many years. We certainly are Pawns in the Game. Henry Kissenger has been one. Of the most negatively influential men of this era. I have felt his manipulation and devastation. What I like a lot in this book, is the simple solution of LOVE and RESPECT for one another and the human collective. We are in control of our own feelings, emotions and convictions.

The book's title pretty much tells you what reading the book can do for you. I admire the much maligned David Icke tremendously. This book is full of very interesting information. I realize the seriousness of the topic, yet it afforded me a few chuckles. I like the way David Icke writes. It does not bother me that there are some typos in the book. The essence of it is what matters. David Icke's works must feel like constant thorns on the negative cabal's side. Soon enough we will realize what goyims we are for ignoring information such as the content of this book.

Definitely worth reading. Not that well known, this book propounds the idea, now becoming more widely prevalent, that a tiny fraction of super-rich elites control and manipulate world events, propaganda, wars, food and water modification including for the purpose of engendering infertility or reduced fertility to control population, and so on. One of the theories it includes is that the JFK assassination may have had Israeli influence behind it, and henced was covered up, as many of the elites are Zionists, if not ZioNazis.... the chapter on the debt scam alone is worth the price of this book. How our global banking system allows a few private bankers to issue literally trillions of debt from thin air, which then accumulates massive interest charges, which are then used to take over the resources and lands of entire countries, through such things as 'austerity measures'.

On JFK's murder, 2-3 brilliant pages summarize the forces JFK took on - the ZioNazis with his attempt to get justice for the Palestinians, the Federal Reserve with his plan to create a national currency free of interest, the CIA which he wanted to 'splinter into a thousand pieces', and the the military-industrial complex and its global financiers with his plan to withdraw US troops from Vietnam.... Icke names names - Rockefellers, Mossad, Rothschilds (who are probably the richest people on earth, but are never mentioned in major Western news media), the CFR, the Bilderberg group, and so on. This book dates to 1995..... amazing....

Forget the stuff about Icke's 'reptilian' source of the planet's troubles - this book will change your view of what is really going on. No surprise Icke's video on the current crisis was banned from youtube.

Truth... a dangerous word and and one that if preached about, should be backed up with mountains of research and cross arguments without trying to influence. David Icke has proved a point with this book.. The truth WILL set you free. Not only is his research astounding and accurate (I have taken a lot of time to cross reference his research) he also doesn't try to influence your opinion on what our world and human conciseness is going through. Instead he uses extensive research and figures to punch through even the toughest cynical minds.

Unfortunately David Icke didn't do himself any PR favors back in the 80's and I opened the book with a lot of skepticism but for every page of research I was turning over, the more gobsmacked I became and I then realized... the only idiot in all of this was me... for believing the prefabricated information created by the global elite on main stream TV all my life. There is history in this book 'they' not teach you at school. I kept screaming out loud... "how come I don't know about this!" especially on Eugenics. Scientifically and historically it is fascinating and mind boggling. You do have to tackle the reptile issue and I must admit, this was a bit of a stumbling block for me but I'll reserve judgment on that matter.

For all of you who are thinking of purchasing this book, you'll need to ask yourself a very serious question before you tackle such a tour de force.. Will the truth set YOU free? if you open your mind to the possibility that there might just be a lot more to our existence, history and science than you have been taught and lead to believe, then yes, freedom is yours for the taking...
