About the Author
Pucci's journey started impulsively. She wanted to check off a box on her bucket list. But what began as fulfillment has become incredibly fulfilling. And now she can't see her life without her characters, her readers and this community.
She currently resides in Northern California with her Italian stallion and her feral children, where the days are slow and easy and wine pours are heavy. (just kidding...maybe)

My very favorite part of Truth was the juxtaposition of the two relationships Drew experiences. They served to show the difference in someone exerting control over a person for their own satisfaction and giving up power to someone because you trust them and they will only use that control to empower you. So often control-exchange novels don’t have the first example to highlight the differences and can come across differently than intended. I felt like having the emotionally abusive relationship with Nick touched on at the beginning of the book really helped to enhance how supportive and mutually satisfying the relationship with Dominic was.
For all the things that didn’t quite work for me in Truth, I still found the premise and plot fascinating and was invested in making sure Drew and Dominic found their happily ever after. Ms. Pucci also made the supporting characters and the world she’s begun building in this series compelling enough I am eagerly anticipating the next book in the series.
My first wish for Truth would be another editing pass. There weren’t a ton of issues, but there were some minor grammatical issues and several instances of stilted dialogue and descriptions. I also felt the characters had some serious problems with consistency. Their personalities and voices seemed all over the place, and it made it hard for me to fully connect with them since I had no idea who they were going to be in the next scene.
Truth is the first book in Trilina Pucci’s Sinful series. These books are slated to be interconnected standalones, as far as I can tell. I believe there will be an overarching storyline that will make more sense if the series is read in order, but each couple’s story seems to be contained in a single novel. Truth is written in dual first-person perspective, narrated by Drew and Dominic.
I was so drawn in to how Drew Matthews found her way to her bad add self! I loved her! There were times when she was with Nick that I was wondering what she was thinking putting up with him but then I understood how she got so wrapped up in pleasing him she lost herself. And eventually with Dominic King? Oh my King!!! Such an alpha, devil, sinful- I love him. She found her true self and I'm so glad they found their way back to each other and found more than lust. To me, they're the dynamic duo! You have to read this beautiful beginning to what is to be an epic series! Looking forward to Luca next!😍
Drew captured my attention from the very start. The strength she shows in escaping her abusive relationship is simply admirable. But she only finds her real self again, once she captures King's interest. And though their attraction and even feelings are practically instant, the story is written in such a way, that it actually makes you believe in instant connection.
Of course, Drew and King's relationship is not a walk in the park. Drew's fear of trusting herself again and King's stubbornness nearly destroy what they have, but in the end, as they say, love conquers all :D Of course, there are few more obstacles on their way, but they only strengthen their relationship and love for each other.
I would actually compare this book to the Mount Trilogy or the Savage Trilogy by Meghan March. It has exactly the same forbidden feel to it and the same scorching heat factor :D So if you are a fan of Meghan, I am pretty sure you would love Truth as well. As for me, I can't wait to get my hands on Worship, the second book in the series and to find out what happens with Drew's best friend and King's brother :D
I voluntarily read and reviewed an advanced copy of this book. All thoughts and opinions are my own.
I absolutely loved the relationship between the characters and how well they complimented each other. I enjoyed watching them spar and seeing the sparks between them. Drew is definitely one of my favorite heroines ever!!!
The story flowed so well. I ended up binge reading this beauty in about a day.
I absolutely recommend this amazing story!!

Emergawd, seriously! *wafts hands* If it’s possible, metaphorically speaking, for a book to blow your tonsils out then that’s exactly what Truth did to me *smirks*
Whaaa? Too much? *pinches fingers*
*shrugs* Whatevs! I apologise for nothing. It’s all true - see what I did there? *snorts*
“Who the f#@k are you?” ... “I’m the one.”
Ooohh Dominic, you are, you soooo are *sighs*
I hesitate to call Dominic a BBF because let me tell you, he ain’t no boy. Nu-uh, Dominic is all M-A-N. Ah flip, I’m panting just thinking about it. Phew!
I’ll admit I’m a sucker for a bad boy, but Dominic takes this to the edge and beyond. This is a man who lives firmly in the grey *winks* Put it this way, I’m convinced you’d feel the air shift if this man walked into a room.
Drew is at a crossroads in her life when she meets the enigmatic, Dominic. One night changes everything. Planets shift, stars realign. Yet, Drew is determined to protect her heart. But, how can you protect something that no longer belongs to you?
“He’s my purpose and I’m his salvation.”
I really need to find some new synonyms, but I devoured this book. All sense of time and place evaporated as I was transported within the pages of Drew and Dominic’s story. It consumed me. I didn’t know where to look on occasion and felt the want to apologise *sings* Awk-ward *snorts*
Told in dual POV, we get to experience all the highs and lows that goes with this story. You know what’s coming, don’t you? *points finger* Yup, you’ve guessed it - I laughed, cried, swooned, had more hot-flashes than I could count, and to top it all off, swore like a trooper *hangs head* What can I say? Potty mouth, thy name is Laura *giggles*
One final (cryptic) thought - I have never wanted to go to church so much in my life *winks*
My truth is simple - this story left me breathless.
This is my first book by Trilina Pucci and to be truthful when I read the blub ‘Darker and dirtier than ever before.’ I was slightly nervous that it wouldn’t be the book for me. Don’t get me wrong it has the dark and dirty part but that is surround by a real story that draws you in from the start and as promised a lot of swoon!
Let me introduce you to Dominic King and Drew Matthews the stars of this epic book. Drew who thought she had the perfect boyfriend in ‘Nick’ with the Ivy League looks who turns out to the biggest control freak around. Drew blames herself for the loss of her ability to think for herself even to the way she dresses. She knows its time to leave Nick! Enter Alpha Dominic King who owns night clubs and one in particular ‘Church’ where only members with keys can enter. Oh yer its that type of club. Drew and her gang end up at the club where she meets Dominic (DOM – get it) and they have one night of dark and dirty – oh boy the chemistry between those 2 is off the chats!
But after everything that happened with Nick Drew doesn’t trust her feelings so decides to end things with Dom her dream man. But one month on she is googling him every chance she gets. Dom has other ideas and the book brings them together with a wonderful story line.
I can’t wait for book 2 in the series Worship which tells the story of Lucas, Doms brother; and Gretchen, Drews best friend.
