This is a great primer to understand: Gain of function (GoF), mRNA, "gene therapy" vs a vaccine, what the Wuhan Lab is/was, many of the events prior to and after the release of the Sars-cov-2 virus, what Fauci and many of the other players roles are, and lastly, the author's highly informed hypothesis on what actually happened. It's written very easy to read.
This is NOT a conspiracy theory book. It is written by a respected scientist and senior executive at the very company that setup the relationship and experiments that were to occur at in collaboration with the Chinese at the Wuhan Lab for the purposes of studying Coronaviruses. He introduces mountains of documents that he has in his possession and that many other people including the US Congress now have, that can be verified, that point to SARS-COV-2 being a product of Gain of Function research and released likely due to very lax controls in the lab that had been cited by not just by the author, but the US Government as well. His main thrust is that chrony capitalism, poor/lacking ethics, irresponsibility, and what appears to be the CIA using this and other foreign labs as spy posts, all came together to allow this to happen. And worse, that we transferred leading edge biotech to make dangerous pathogens to the Chinese.
There are reviews out there that seem to imply Andrew Huff should be dismissed because he was "caught lying" about being in Wuhan. This is false! Andrew very clearly states in the book he never set foot in the lab at Wuhan though he visited other similarly poorly outfitted foreign labs as part of the company's program to use foreign laboratories for their gain of function work.
The beginning of the book was slow and found myself skimming. I really didn't need to know all the nuances of his friends, associates, towns he lived in, and army experiences that had little relevance to the main theme he is communicating.
The second half of the book, starting where he introduces a COVID timeline beginning in 1987, becomes absolutely gripping. It is especially so in the last chapter that covers the government spending over a year following and harassing he and his partner with daily drones hovering over their house and following them everywhere, trespassing, agents following in vehicles, photographing, hacking all of his devices and vehicles, long range sonic attacks, and even a US Coast Guard Helicopter hovering over his house one morning. That aspect is terrifying. It's concerning about what our government does to people like this whistleblower and how deep it goes into the various departments that then "pitch in" to help with the harassment.
He names many witnesses in the book to these events and claims to have two pages of witness signatures. Having been through intelligence training, he is savvy to immediately report all these occurrences, photography and document them, and then disseminate them before the gov hacks into his devices and deletes them, which they have been doing. Third party journalists seem to have a trove of documents to validate should they be interested, which I hope they are.
I learned many times more than I knew about COVID in just one day of reading this book. Highly recommended.
