Melanie goes to a rock concert with her wild friend Nikki. They manage to get backstage. She has no interest in hooking up with anybody. Gabe is the drummer for Sole Regrets and he is enchanted by Melanie. One things leads to another and they hook up. Gabe is more than just a drummer and Melanie falls for him. Can this relationship work or is it doomed from the beginning? This is a fast paced Novella packed with a good story. The main characters are interesting and likeable. The sex scenes are hot. This is a start of a new series and I am looking forward to reading more about the band mates as well as Gabe and Melanie’s continued journey.

Will one night with Gabe change her view of tattoos and piercings? Is there more to Gabe then meets the eyes?
I enjoyed the story, but I couldn't stand Melanie's friend, Nikki. She was so needy and was a bad friend to Melanie and I just wanted to throw my phone when I read the scenes with her. She, obviously, is not favorite character of mine LOL
I do recommend this book. It was a fast and good read.
I LOVED Gabe's hobby! This book was short, hot and well worth reading!!
stand alone or series... part of a series but could be read as a stand alone
would I recommend it ... YES
did it give me a book hangover... YES
would I read it again ... DEFINITELY
GENRE: Contemporary erotic romance
STEAM: Lots, and lots (regardless of the length, Cunning did not disappoint!)
SERIES: One Night with Sole Regret
WILL I DEVOUR THE NEXT BOOK: You bet.
RECOMMEND TO OTHERS: Absolutely.
A lovely novella by the queen of rockin' erotic romance books! Gabe was a sweetheart, Mel was a doll, and most of the band members were lovable and drool-worthy. (I'll get to the exception in a bit.)
The story was easy to sink into and get lost in. And, as usual, Cunning brings the world of rock 'n roll alive for her readers. Gabe and Mel's connection was hot and fierce, but natural and pure. And I loved how they opened up to each other and took the other in, throwing caution to the wind and trusting in the moment. Precious, perfect, priceless.
The ending was tied up nicely - enough to make me want more, but leaving it at a point to where I can wait (somewhat) patiently. I know the future books are about the other members of the band, but I'm hoping she'll revisit these two and sink us deeper into their journey.
I have to say, there was something missing in this story, and I can't quite put my finger on it. The only thing I can think to say is I felt some sort of detachment throughout. I don't think it was because it was a novella - Cunning nailed down complete character arcs and the plot was seamless. But it was almost like she was holding something back. I don't know. Can't figure it out.
And now, for my exception listed above: Shade. He reminds me too much of Sed from her Sinners books, so he gets an automatic "Can't stand him!!". Is that fair? Probably not. But I can't help it. Sed was an ass, and so it this guy. However, I can see she's already trying to set up why we're going to relate to him and forgive him for his arrogant ways, and I sincerely hope she can do some fancy writing to pull it off. I would love, love, love to actually want and lust after a fictional lead singer. But, alas, (as of now) my search continues.
