It was emotional, kept me guessing and interested from the first page to the very end.

The storyline was well thought out and I enjoyed the character development as well.

OMG I hate cliffhangers!! I don't mind a series where each book has a HEA and then continues on in another book but I HATE cliffhanger endings that you then have to wait months for!! ARGHHHHHH

I am probably especially upset because I absolutely loved this book! I had been waiting for its release and read it straight away, finished it in half a day!! I was irritated in the beginning with Kenzies and Doms relationship and how naive she was being about his infidelity but once that was over with I settled with the book!! Hunter OMG I have no words for how much I love him!! Some of the characters bothered me a bit especially Mason, hypocrite much!! But I enjoyed the overall cast and how they fed off each as one big happy family!!

Great read and can't wait until book 2!!

I could barely finish this book. Now I wish I hadn't wasted the time. The characters are one dimensional at best, the dialogue contrived and awkward and a story line that doesn't add up. This book listed and thanked an editor, but the author really should request a refund. Editing usually does not bother me, but this book was rife with errors that distracted from the story.

Caution: Spoilers are contained in the remainder of the review:

The entire premise of the story rests on Mackenzie's brothers being completely overbearing thus preventing a relationship between Hunter and her. The brothers were completely against Hunter and Kenzie being together. I could semi buy this except for that fact that one brother Cooper was sleeping (at least it's implied) with Hunter's little sister Jaylinn and Mason the one causing the largest stink is sleeping with Kenzie's bestfriend Hailee, who grew up with them all and was looked at as another sister. The relationship between brothers and sister had complete creep factor and stalkerish, not meshing with the actions of who they were seeing. The only semi reasonable brother was Jackson who was involved with his own life.

I have no idea why the author choose not to use contractions. That choice made this extremely hard to read because there was a lot of dialogue and very few people, especially college students speak like that. And if I read the phrase "freak the f.. out" one more time, I was going to throw my kindle across the room.

And finally the plot and ending. The story as a whole held promise though not well executed. The ending completely unraveled what little of the book was left that I liked. Kenzie and Hunter finally get their happy ending. NOT.

I want to start off by saying that I never write reviews, but this book is so bad that I just had to warn the rest of the world. As an avid kindle book YA/New Adult junkie, I thought this book had a lot of promise...too bad it fell flat.

****SPOILERS BELOW****
The heroine is extremely annoying throughout the entire story. How many clues did she need to have that her boyfriend was cheating on her? I found myself rolling my eyes several times as she'd just brush off the latest OBVIOUS sign she was being cheated on.Seriously?!?!? She is either stupid or blind. Another very creppy aspect of the story is the OVERLY protective brothers...well really just one brother is crazy protective. I believe there's a line within every sibling relationship where being protective is appropriate...in this story her brothers are stalkerish and hypocritical! I couldn't stand it! How is it okay for the twins to date her best friend and younger sister of their best friend and she couldn't date their best friend?!?!?! It made no sense?!?!?! Other thing that bothered me was that her ex-bf was portrayed at the beginning of the story as a douche bag and then at the end of the story is there for the heroine and even buys her a pregnancy test and where is Hunter?!?! MIA for two weeks for no real apparent reason because he couldn't choose between his best friends (her brothers) and her. SO aggravating!! Just once in the story I wanted him to stand up to her brothers and say "Look, I love her and I'm dating her and shut up!"....but no that never happened....Hunter is portrayed as such a bad ass yet he can't grow a backbone and stand up for himself to her brothers! Lastly, the ending WAS terrible!!! Cliff hanger that involves a random chick that you had NO IDEA she held this kind of anger for the heroine tries to kill the heroine...and we're left not knowing if she'll survive...terrible...

The writing was so bad I thought a kid must have written it. The characters go to a bar and encounter an "ugly" guy...they go to the library and see a "nerdy" girl, and the feelings are uncharitable and juvenile. The situations sound like a very young girl wrote them...a girl who does not realize that contractions would make the dialog smoother and more natural. I finally gave up trying to get through, and would return it if I could.

First I would like to admit that I did read this book just because I graduated from ODU. With that said, I would also like to point out that we learned nothing about ODU while reading it except the party scene is pretty typical.. unfortunately. It's like mentioning her sister in law is pregnant, giving the whole back story, the details of her complications and even the birthing- yet afterwards no character has any scenes with the baby? You build me up just to let me down.. Anyways, secondly, the ending was too rushed. Obviously it is a cliffhanger, however, the way it was done I honestly did not feel saddened or anxious for the next book. Spoiler Alert: the book should have ended with the accident. The prologue for the second book should have been the sounds of her hearing the family and hunter in the hospital. And though you are getting the same amount of information between the two, it is the little things that count. Third, I felt like she was just a little too naive when it came to Dominic's cheating. Like seriously. At one point I thought it would take a painted billboard to get to that realization. Fourth, Mase was just a little bit extreme, his character took it too far. Fifth some of it seemed just a little unrealistic. Who lets their daughter run off for a weekend with a boy to cabins in the woods?? I know she was at an age where shes an adult.. barely 18, but her parents did not even care, like at all.

Things I did like: Brittney's character as a subtle psycho was well played, I knew something would happen later, but not to that extent, so I really did enjoy the element of surprise.
