Salt Bath Heat TreatmentGuide bars require both of contrasting characteristics of toughness and hardness. Tsumura has adopted salt heat treatment that draws both of the contrasting characteristics maximally. The salt bath heat treatment is the best way to achieve ideal steel which has toughness and hardness. Normally, Steel is heated over 800℃ immediately, but the salt bath heat treatment takes up slow heating method. Then, good hardened steel structure, which is stable and less distortion, can be obtained. |
Straightening ProcessA saw chain rotates faster than 25m/sec on the chain tracking groove of guide bars, so straight rail of guide bar is important. If the rail is not straight, you would have some trouble. For example, guide bar would be biased wear. Also, you can’t cut tree straightly. That’s why, Tsumura has three time straightening process which are arranged after the press process, the heat treatment, and finishing process. the straightening process is carefully done by professional manually. |
Light & ToughTsumura’s chain saw guide bars incorporate a unique design that makes the lightest guide bars available today. Dove-tailed notches are staggered and cut into the bar surface and packed with hard resin which reduces the weight of the guide bar by about 20%. Solid Guide Bars
Solid guide bars are manufactured from one plate of super hard alloyed steel SKS-51 by cutting groove. Also, we adopt salt heat treatment which is the best way to achieve ideal steel which has hardness and toughness.
Solid guide bar is tougher than laminated guide bar because it is manufactured from one plate. Besides, Solid sprocket nose guide bar nose can be replaceable and adequate change of nose part will extend guide bar life. It is essential to clean oil hole cleaning after using chainsaw. Solid sprocket nose type needs grease inject after/before using chainsaw.
We also manufacture a light weight edition which is about 20% lighter than standard type.
