VersaMark Watermark Ink pad lets you create subdued tone-on-tone stamped impressions. This clear ink pad measures 3" x 2 ". For best results, use on uncoated colored paper. Great for use with chalks, embossing powder, and resist techniques. Your image will appear darker when ink dries. Acid-free.

Tsukineko VM000001 Full-Size VersaMark Pigment Inkpad

Use together with other inks and powdered mediums to achieve a myriad of effects!
“Tints”paper one shade darker. Stamp onto high quality colored cardstock to achieve a two toned effect.
Stamp onto extra light weight white paper to create a watermark.
For a gradation effect, use brushes to apply chalk or pearl powders to stamped images. Powders adhere well to this high viscosity ink.
Use VersaMark on coated paper with dye inks for resist effects.

Make sure stamp surfaces are very clean and free of dirt, dust or lint before using with VersaMark.
Clean stamps immediately after use with Stamp Cleaner.
If the surface of the pad appears dirty, wipe clean with a paper towel and re-ink with inker.

Application: Uncoated paper, glossy paper(for resist techniques)
Drying time: 5 to 10 minutes on uncoated papers. Varies based on weight / type of paper, humidity.
Embossing: Ideal for embossing.

I have tried LOTS of different embossing pads, NONE work well, they kind of work halfway, and I cant get a great stamp, I have not had a single issue with versamark ink, it is nice and sticky and thick which is a weird thing to say, but it is HANDS DOWN the ONLY embossing ink I will ever use again.

This is exactly what you need to use for heat embossing. Believe me! I thought I did my research, and I bought white ink. That worked okay, but I still wasn't getting the look I wanted. I wanted a crisp image. I was making wedding invitations, and I had a lot of text. This ink did not bleed on my cardstock, and it had a satisfying sticky sound when doing the stamping. It made all the difference for the thermal embossing.

With the Corona Virus shutting down so many businesses, I have had to order this on line. (Our local Art Supply store is shut down) Best product I have found to do embossing and chalk stamping. Perfectly clear on it's own, so it Does not effect the color you are using. Great for even very fine embossing powders. Excellent detail. I also stamp with the Versa Mark, and then use a cotton ball to rub chaulk dust into the image to get rainbow effects, and it works perfectly without smudging or blurring. One very nice "trick" I have used is to press a dried leaf into the Versa Mark pad, and then sprinkle with gold embossing powder and then use a heat gun on it. The Versa ?Mark holds the powder onto the leaf without having it blow off, and allows me to CAREFULLY melt the embossing powder onto the leaf. Love this stuff!

Works great, but feels pricey

This works great for heat embossing projects, even for beginners. The watermark it leave is rather faint, so best check against the light to ensure the entire image is stamped on the surface before you put any embossing powder on. However, it still feels pretty pricey for what it does (over 10 bucks when I ordered it). That's the only reason to dock one star, everything else is pretty good.

Best embossing ink ever!

It's no wonder that most YouTube videos involving embossing also mention this product- it's awesome! It's a slow-drying embossing in that goes on clear. I've used with with Stampendous embossing powders and Ranger Sticky embossing powder with excellent results. Originally, I'd purchased a different brand of embossing ink at my local craft store but it performed poorly and was mostly dried out (and that was brand new, just opened!) which left my first attempts at embossing crackle-looking and the finer details were smudged. I figured it was the ink but I returned both ink and all the embossing powders I'd purchased (just in case) and went to Amazon and ordered this. It is more expensive than the first ink I tried but it is WELL WORTH the price and if you take care of your supplies they'll last a long time.

Je le possède depuis environ 1 an et malgré les nombreuses utilisations, il marche toujours aussi bien !
L'encre n'a absolument pas séchée et, bien que la mousse soit bien tâchée (suite à l'utilisation de tampons pas bien nettoyés), le résultat est toujours propre et transparent.
L'encre "colle" bien pour permettre l'embossage à chaud.
Mais elle permet aussi de réaliser de joli tamponnage ton sur ton puisque l'encre transparente aura tendance à juste foncé un peu le papier. De quoi réaliser de très jolis effets même sans embosser.
