I've used a lot of these little dressing cups over the years. When I got them, I found that the lids on these were tight. I had some trouble getting the lids on, like some other reviewers. After thinking about I remembered that my old ones were tight too, but that they broke in for a perfect fit over time. This time I wanted to speed up the process. Here's what I did to fix the tight fitting lid problem:

1) Wash the cups and lids by hand and let them dry completely
2) Put the lids onto the cups
3) Put the assembled cups/lids into the dishwasher on the top rack
4) Run the dishwasher as usual

The prolonged heat from the dishwasher causes the lids to stretch just enough so that the have a nice tight fit, but don't pop off and make your dressing explode onto the kitchen counter.

Cheers and good luck!

Weve had these little containers for a few months now. They seal liquids great but they're too hard to close / seal the lid. Seems like they're getting harder as they age. Would not recommend theses to anyone. There are better alternatives which we purchased at the grocery store.

These are great little cups for vitamins or prescriptions on the go. You can safely store a liquid in here without it leaking. Don't put the covers in the dishwasher tho. Wash the cup part in the dishwasher before using to "shrink" it a little and then the lids will go on a lot easier. Great product from a great company.

I bought these for dressings for school lunches. Unfortunately, they're not the best for little hands. They take a good amount of convincing to open and don't seal reliably. We use something else now for the kids, but my husband still uses these ones for dressing and coffee creamer. The size is great.

These (so far) liquid tight little things make it so much easier to pack a healthy and tasty lunch. They are useful for portioning as well as transport. Tight stacking makes for compact storage. Only drawback is that lids are so tight I could barely get them on, which kind of begs for spillage.

“Classic” meaning “judged over a period of time to be of high quality and outstanding of its kind.” Members of my family fight over these. Everyone seems to need a small container for one thing or another (whether it be some cream cheese to add to a packed lunch or packing a few days worth of vitamins for a trip) and these are just the right size. Also, Tupperware quality you can trust. We've bought muliple sets of these over the years because we always find more uses for them.

We just bought a set of six (January 2012). We were attracted by the size, Tupperware's reputation and the mostly great reviews.

Unfortunately, our order came with lids that were almost, if not completely, impossible to put on. They were simply misfitted. One lid, with a GREAT deal of effort eventually snapped on, but only after much wrestling with the container. Fortunately, we were only testing the lids. Had the container been filled with, say, salad dressing, it would have spilled all over in the process.

We're somewhat mystified by some of the other, positive reviews. Perhaps Tupperware's quality control varies and some come out great, and others do not - we do not know. Given our experience, however, we'd recommend either being fully ready to return your order (should you have the same problem) or trying a similar product from another company.

I was extremely disappointed with this product. I always buy Tupperware products, but this one was definitely not of the usual standard. I was completely unable to get the lids to fit no matter what I tried. I wanted to use them as pill containers for a trip I was taking, and in the end had to put the pills into small plastic bags. I have never been more disappointed with an Amazon or Tupperware product. I notice that several reviewers found elaborate methods to stretch the lids to fit. I find it absurd that the customer has to do this. I hope Tupperware figures out a better way to put the lids on without spraining one's wrist. I threw the whole lot into the garbage, since they were of no use to me.
