It starts by the basics, common terms then takes you step by step in the details. All results and data are very well and clearly explained. It is really a pleasure to read. I recommend this to anyone who wants to know what Turbulence is all about. I have been looking for something similar for around 8 years and I finally found it.Just for the sake of sharing good things with people i will advice you to get it and you will really like it.
Usually a Turbulent flow course is offered to graduate students to help them get acquainted with the topic. I really encourage professors as well as student to use this as a text book. Very well presented.
Highly recommended if you are keen on getting a handle on "high-resolution" turbulence modeling, i.e., LES/DNS studies and investigations.
