Update with pic 12/20/16: The picture shows:
1) Whole dried rosemary
2) Whole dried rosemary on a medium grind
3) Whole dried rosemary on a fine grind
A baby aspirin shown for comparison. This grinder works well for small amounts of spices. Dried leaf type spices such as oregano or basil didn't work well. However, "harder" whole spices such as rosemary, bay leaves, cloves, worked well.
Do check the dimensions: It's pretty small, and the grinding part is near the middle of the grinder, not the bottom, so it doesn't hold much pepper.
Grinders with the handle thingy coming out sideways from the top, like this one, are nice on wrists.
I actually wanted to rate it a 5 star for the quality of the product, but the opening for the pepper kernels is not large enough to accept the size of kernels I get from the store.
Pay attention to the size specifications. I was looking for a grinder about the size of my hand and instead this grinder's size resulted in 'it's so cute!' from my wife. <grin>
