About the editors of the compilation: Jeffrey H. Cohen is Professor of Anthropology at Ohio State University in the US. He edits Migration Letters and Remittances Review. His books include Eating Soup without a Spoon, Anthropological Theory and Method in the Real World (University of Texas Press, 2015), Migration and Remittances during the Global Financial Crisis and Beyond (World Bank, 2012 with I. Sirkeci and D. Ratha), and Cultures of Migration, the global nature of contemporary mobility (University of Texas Press, 2011 with I. Sirkeci). He has co-chaired the Turkish Migration Conference series 2014-2016. Deniz Eroglu is Assistant Professor at Trakya University. Dr Eroglu completed her PhD research on migration policy at University of Essex, UK. She was the Deputy Head of Romani Studies Instituted at Trakya University. She is co-editor of Journal of Gypsy Studies. Dr Eroglu also served at international scientific committee of Turkish Migration Conference 2016. Ibrahim Sirkeci is Professor of Transnational Studies and Marketing and the Director of the Regent’s Centre for Transnational Studies (RCTS) at Regent’s University London, UK. He is the founding editor of several journals including Migration Letters, Göç Dergisi, and Remittances Review. His books include Transnational Marketing and Transnational Consumers (Springer, 2013), Migration and Remittances during the Global Financial Crisis and Beyond (World Bank, 2012 with J. Cohen and D. Ratha), and Cultures of Migration, the global nature of contemporary mobility (University of Texas Press, 2011 with J. Cohen). He has chaired the Turkish Migration Conference series 2012-2016.
