Emrah Sahin was born in the Mediterranean City of Kalonoros, Anatolia, to Turcoman nomad parents. He migrated to Montreal, Canada, in 2005. He is now a dedicated teacher at the University of Florida. His first book named “Faithful Encounters” received the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council Award and the Sakıp Sabancı International Research Award. He lives with his beautiful wife and two daughters in Gainesville, the United States.

ﺃمراﺡ شاﺤين ولد في مدينة ﻋﻷﺇﻴﺔ في تركيا. والديه والديه الرحل التركمان. هاجر إلى مونتريال في كندا في عام ۵۰۰۲ و الآن يعمل في جامعة فلوريدا في الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية. فاز كتابه الأول بعنوان ،البروتستانت الأمريكية في الإمبراطورية العثمانية ، بجائزة كتاب من مجلس أبحاث العلوم الإنسانية والإنسانية في كندا و بجائزة البحث الدولي من عائلة سابانشي في تركيا. يعيش مع زوجته وابنتيه في غينزفيل في الولايات المتحدة.

Emrah Sahin est un turc nomade né à Kalonoros en Anatolie. Il a immigré à Montréal en 2005 et il travaille comme professeur passionné à l'Université de Floride depuis 2012. Son premier livre «Faithful Encounters» a remporté le Prix d’auteurs pour l’édition savante de la Fédération pour les sciences humaines et sociales du Canada et le Prix de recherche international de la Fondation Sabancı de Turquie. Avec sa belle épouse et ses deux filles, il habite à Gainesville aux États-Unis.

1980 yılında Alanya'da dünyaya gelen yazar Emrah Şahin, 2005 yılında Kanada’daki Montreal şehrine taşınmış ve 2012 yılında yüksek tahsilini tamamlayarak Amerika’daki Florida Üniversitesi’nde öğretim üyesi olarak göreve başlamıştır. İki kız çocuğu ve eşiyle beraber Florida’nın Gainesville şehrinde yaşamaktadır.
