Top customer reviews
There was a problem filtering reviews right now. Please try again later.
For these reasons I am just going to keep it to a simple star based system for my book reviews. Sorry, but if I was more creative in my writing skills I'd be writing books instead of reading them!
5 star - LOVE, LOVE, LOVE. Couldn't put it down until I was finished.
4 star - Great read. Hard to put down at bedtime, wanted to finish in the next day or so.
3 star - Good read. Easy to put down, yet still wanted to finish it in the next week.
2 star - It's a read, but let me see if there's anything new on Netflix, Hulu, Amazon Instant...
1 star - I paid 99 cents for this?! At least in the old days I could have used the book for kindling or TP.
Here's what I tend to like to help understand how I rated something.
I tend to read suspense, thriller, mystery genres. Not too crazy about the overtly supernatural genre, never cared for Stephen King (found his books hard to get into and terribly bloated), like Dean Koontz (though I am finding his work to feel repetitious/familiar likes he's reaching too meet deadlines and not create stories lately), true crime is good if the case interests me (not crime just for crimes sake).
If this has been helpful to you, please let me know by clicking the “Yes” box below.
Blane has taken a case defending a former SEAL and now Kathleen is caught in the cross fire. He doesn't trust anyone except his brother to keep her alive. Kade doesn't doubt he can keep her safe - but can he keep his hands off her? After all bodyguards need to stay close.
The story is interesting, with more twists and turns than the Minotaur's Labyrinth. Is it really wrongful death, when a US citizen left to go fight in the Middle East with terrorists - and then is killed by SEALS? Yes, he was unarmed when he was shot - but one warning could have easily cost the entire SEAL team their lives.
One by one the people Blane has called to testify on his clients behalf are either going missing, changing their stories or dying. It becomes a race - can Kade, Blane & Kathleen untangle the truth from lies before a malevolent plan comes to fruition? Can they survive long enough to worry about the fact that they have both zeroed in on the same girl?
