About the Author
Stephen Channing comes from the East End of London, but settled in Thanet to raise a family. After obtaining a degree in Social and Economic History, he wrote a series of books about Margate and the history of East Kent during the Victorian era, including the critically acclaimed "A Victorian Cyclist".
Ben Jones won a scholarship to Oxford University to study Japanese, and after some years in Japan, returned to run a successful translation, typesetting and publishing business from his home in Kent, UK. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting and former coordinator of the ITI's Japanese Network.
