Great Xp\Linux sound card, and one of the last crystal sound chips, Midi wavetable Playback under 9x\XP is OK, doesn't have the greatest sound, but its not the worst wavetable synth I've ever heard.
This card also has a Wavetable header, and it works, rare for a PCI card.
Under 9x, Use the VXD drivers, or you will have no DOS support at all.
The DOS TSR is only in the VXD drivers, again they felt no need to include it with the newer ones.
That said Dos support will also require you to acquire the driver form a slightly older crystal soundcard, just so you can have a Mixer under dos. Without the mixer the default volume is so low its barely audible.
Again...They felt the need not to include one, and luckily the older mixer tsr program is compatible.
Once done with all that your are treated to some of the worst OPL-3 Playback you can experience outside of a certain Ensoniq soundcard.
OPL-2 Adlib playback is great and fine, but OPL-3 is simply put.... Very broken, straight out missing notes\sounds in many games and midi programs.
General Midi playback with the cards own wavetable synth is possible in a dosbox 9x window without a wavetable daughter-board, no support for it in dos, for the games that have it.
This card also has windows 3.x Drivers, and they are just as bad, surprising it has them for a pci sound card.
I know its so.... difficult for Amazon and Ebay market sellers, to include drivers!!!!! /sarcasm

Turtle Beaches own drivers for this card, are on on their own website.
You will have to Google it as Amazon keeps removing the links!

Do not use the Driver manger ads that Amazon ad service is putting at the bottom of the page. I just noticed it.
Those only lead to Malware.
AMAZON if a person actually reads this you should remove those links and ban that advertiser from your website, you should never allow malicious links which that clearly is.
Turtle beach has an official driver page with all their drivers for their products.
NO DRIVER MALWARE DOWNLOADER, it will be under legacy on their site, same goes for Cirrus.
