I was very pleased with how great the sound is compared to what I was using, but quickly tired of multiple things. I make and take calls as a part of my job and spend at least four hours a day doing that. It is unacceptable that the headset will interrupt my phone call to tell me the following: "Auto shutdown enabled. Press the power button to disable. Auto shutdown disabled." I have to ask my customers to repeat what they were saying or I have to sound like an idiot and repeat the same thing I was saying because it stops all other audio during these messages. This happens at least once every fifteen minutes and there's no way to turn this off.
The battery life is also poor. I believe three hours is the max. I'd love to listen to music or even watch videos between phone calls while I'm studying or just trying to relax, but I have to plug them in to charge instead. Meanwhile, co-workers that have spent the same amount of money on other brands of high end headphones are able to do just that for eight hours or more and don't have to wrestle with auto shutdown features.
The wireless distance isn't great either. If I reach the bounds of the wireless receiver's reach I hear the following repeated to me several times: "Mike off." Sometimes it's "Mike Mike Mike off Mike off Mike off Mike Mike off." Really?
I wouldn't bother with these unless you're just loyal to Turtle Beach. Even then, the fact that you can't disable the auto shutdown feature is inexcusable. Nobody needs that. If you can't be responsible and plug them in, maybe you don't need to buy wireless headphones.
• Sound quality is decent; it does NOT get that loud though, especially for movies. A way to improve this is to go into its properties inside "playback devices" and turn on Loudness Equalization (under enhancements).
• Unfortunately, there isn't a separate control for chat volume and game volume, they're both in one.
• Also, the logos that light up on the side are VERY BRIGHT. they make me feel like I'm wearing one of those light up helmets from The Martian or something. Had to cover them up it's a little irritating.
However, it doesn't have media buttons. I got around this by getting a bluetooth media button (the kind you get for a phone, see pic), attached it to the side of the headset, connected it to the computer via a $12 bluetooth usb controller and bam, problem solved.
The voice feedback is okay. Just a bit annoying. Even when sound is coming through, it says auto shutdown is enabled, and says to press the power button to disable it. It only does this once per power up, but it's a little annoying.
I need to figure out what the G930 had in terms of equalizer versus this one, because Netflix versus everything else is going to drive me nuts. Netflix is crazy quiet, but Spotify, for example, is blaring. Just little quirks that I think I'll eventually figure out. Otherwise great headset.
Was getting a terrible buzzing in my headset while playing Far Cry 5 (and now every game). Attempted to download and install the Turtle Beach hub, but it wouldn't detect the headset even though it says it's supported. Uninstalled and reinstalled drivers several times, no dice. Contacted support to fix the buzzing and the hub not working. They said I should plug in the USB transmitter at the same exact time I open the hub software. That didn't work. They responded that the buzzing is probably Far Cry. Great, but that doesn't fix the hub not working. I asked if we could get the hub working, and they said it wouldn't fix the issue anyway, and didn't offer any more assistance. 10/10 customer service /s
I'm getting the corsair wireless headset instead.

So, the Stealth 450 it was.
Overall: A great headset, though perhaps a little overpriced (got it on sale for about £80).
Wireless allows for ease of movement. It has great speaker and mic quality. Once set up, it's very easy and convenient to use.
Setup was an absolute PAIN. The drivers did not install automatically as they were supposed to (though I did have the luck of not having to manually pair it as some other buyers have). Though more user error, revamping the PC settings to default to this device SHOULD have been simple but was a decided headache.
The auto-shutdown cannot be turned off and triggers no matter what you are doing (listening to music, on a voice call, playing a game, etc) forcing you to stop what you are doing (assuming you're often using both hands to type/game/etc as I am) and tap the power button.
The mic, while producing really good quality, is SUPER sensitive. If it was put even one nudge above the very minimum, I would hear an echo in the earphones of EVERY little sound I made caught through the mic.
Sound it great and has a few presets already defined for you. Personally, i like this a little Bassy, but for FPS player like CS:GO might prefer treble to hear footsteps, but you can adjust this via the app.
I thought the fabric would be a problem, but my ears dont get sweaty which is great.
It feels quite solid however the plastic does creak when adjusting and that can be picked up on mic.
Its not quite sound insulating, My girlfriend can hear the sounds out of the headphones, so if you want to wear these to stop disturbing your roomies, this might not be the headset for you.
Edit 04/01/2019 : Just over 1 Year later (bought on 30/12/2017: The right adjustment slider has snapped in half. No reason for it. I look after it, and place it on a headphone stand after each use. When i lifted of the headset the slider cracked and then completely snapped. Sorry to say I couldn't recommend these for longevity.
Update May 2020: After having my previous 450 headset replaced under Warrenty, the same things have happened, the right slider snapped. I cannot recommend these headsets.
Also usb dongle that's sending the signal is like three inches long. gave me some difficulties as my pc was sitting nicely in the corner before.
On the quality... It does have auto shut down. Which is more annoying than useful. I wish there was a way to disable it in settings. Because having that stupid voice interrupt whatever you're watching to tell you that it's shutting down unless you press button is beyond annoying. Could at least work on activity status, not a general timer.
Audio quality on itself I'd say just average. Seen better from cheaper AudioTechnika headphones.
Loudness is really poor. And at top 15-10% level is really bad quality.
Detachable mic is actually nice.
Have to admit though, the sound is really good, particularly the bass for listening to some tunes. The detachable Mic is also nice for the times I do not want to speak. It also works on my PS4 seamlessly without having to download or install any drivers. Very portable.
The other point I would make is about using the Aux; it's not particularly great experience. I tried to use it on my phone, and while the sound was good, the headset keeps flashing, presumably as it tried to phone home (to the dongle that you usually plug into your computer). I contacted their support about this and there was nothing they could do unfortunately.
All in all, a good multi-platform gaming headset. Fit for people with small heads, uncomfortable for medium-larger heads. Sounds good, and mic picks up your voice clearly. Portable to multi-platforms, with very seamless integration, i.e. plug the dongle and play.
Hi i've had this headset for a week now, at first i had a problem of no sound, i did install the driver but thing is the driver setup doesnt ask for a install location as other setups do even after installing i couldnt find the driver it had installed.
i contacted TurtleBeach they replied telling me to check where the driver was installed too they suggested that i look for a folder named "SrsUapo3_Release_HPX" it may be on another harddrive and that it needs to be on the C drive or main harddrive so i checked my other harddrive and there was the folder named SrsUapo3_Release_HPX, i simply dragged that folder over to my C drive and it instantly gave me sound.
1. it has a long battery life i havent timed it but its long enough, CAN be used while charging it uses a samsung S2 USB charger so thats also handy.
2. The microphone is a DREAM it can hear a pin drop its sooo sensitive! no one has any problem hearing me now.
3. its wireless.
1. the Sound drivers could do with a feature to ask where it wants to be installed to because it currently just automatically installs it anywhere!
2. i think everybody is facing this problem.. the sound quality is not what i hoped for its not powerful its no good to enjoy music with, i like LOUD music and this headset does not have that kick to it its acceptable when playing games shooting and sound effects etc but i like music while playing and this headset just misses out on that, they have also did away with the full graphic equalizer so all you got is pre-sets and 7.1 surround sound can't customize the sound to your liking.
3. because of the way the earcups move it doesnt seem like a STRONG well built headset, but only time will tell.
By far the star of the show is the microphone, need a good mic? HERE IT IS!
would have gave it 5 stars had the sound quality been better especially for £80 thats alot of money! i expected better.
will update my review for its durability at a later date...
its not much but its there! i knew there was a weakness involved with how they move its only been a couple of weeks since i bought them, the right ear speaker has become really loose where it turns ive now put electrical tape around the moving part so it doesnt move at all now hope this helps make em last what was the creator of this headset thinking? shame on you! £80 and already im having to put tape on them to prevent them from breaking all together! headset still works fine sound and mic im worried about the strength of it though i cant see it lasting long and i wont be buying this style of headset again! the movement is unnecessary its proven to be a weakness i hate them for that!
