This headset was a great choice, they aren't as "stylish" as the Black Ops versions but they are identical to the Xray set in terms of build and features, the colors are just black and green instead of the Black Ops 2 themed sets. I use these on both the Xbox One and PS4, I love the fact that one headset is compatible with both of my systems and that is exactly what I look for in a good headset.
The only thing you need to do is get a chat cable ( https://www.amazon.com/Turtle-Beach-Force-Talkback-Cable-Windscreen/dp/B00B08REVE/ref=sr_1_2?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1502976702&sr=1-2&keywords=turtle+beach+chat+cable) .
And a 2.5mm to 3.5mm conversion cable . ( https://www.amazon.com/Stereo-Headset-Controller-Adapter-Headsets/dp/B00MG73JV2/ref=sr_1_1?s=videogames&ie=UTF8&qid=1502977153&sr=1-1&keywords=2.5+mm+to+3.5+mm+adapter )
This headset along with other older headsets were completely wireless on the Xbox 360 and PS3 but to use this headset and others like it you will need the chat cable and conversion cables I mentioned above to make them work. All there will be is the one cable from your controller to your headset while chatting online, and when you are not you can be completely wireless again, just unplug the cable and put it away.
The older Xbox 360 and PS3 controllers used a 2.5mm jack and the Xbox One and PS4 now use the 3.5mm jacks, so this is the reason for the conversion cable, without it you will not be able to chat. The Xbox 360 chat cable will work perfectly with the Xbox One and PS4, there is absolutely no reason to buy two different cables for each console, one works perfectly for each.
Here are two previous reviews of mine for the Xbox One chat pad and my Turtle Beach Tango headset with the chat cable and adapter connected. This will give you a look at the connection and how simple it is.
Bottom line, this is an excellent set of headphones that are sure to impress will fill all your needs with a fraction of the cost it would take to get a comparable set made especially for the Xbox One and PS4..
SOLID 5 out of 5
This headset uses only 2 speakers (one for each ear) and simulated surround sound. I have no experience using any other surround sound headsets, but some reviewers feel simulated is better than the true surround sound created by stuffing several speakers into each ear cup. All I know is that it works! There is one game for which the simulated surround sound fails (Dead Island), but other games feel accurate.
You can look up all the features included here, so I won't waste your time listing them. I'll just say that there are no features missing that I can think of. Turtle Beach seems to have packed these with everything you could ask for.
These were the premium set a few years ago, and they still are excellent in every way that matters. The fact that they are no longer the flagship model means that you can now get a great set of surround sound headphones for a great price!
