A Kid's Review on June 3, 2010
I have bought TwEEns for my 13 years old daughter, and as soon as I gave it to her, she went delighted into her room because she wanted to immediately look at it. My happiness was short lived. Just a couple of minutes afterwards, I heard her cry: "What is this!!". I went to her room and she told me that the story was already over. I could not believe her, so we played the DVD once again. There appeared two teenagers talking at the side of a swimming pool, the girl's mother told her something like: "Samantha, we must leave". Samantha said good bye to her friend and this was all.
As I could not understand what had happened with the DVD, I thought it was not OK. I decided to ask Amazon for help. And they rapidly answered me. They told me that I could read on their website that the DVD's total playing time was just three minutes. I must say that Amazon's answer was right and friendly, they even offered me to refund the money I had paid. Nevertheless, I keep on being disappointed. I do not understand how can be offered and sold such a thing like this DVD with a silly conversation without any humour or suspense.
I admit my mistake, but I have always had very good experiences with Amazon's products. This is the reason why I think I exagerately trusted their offers, and did not read every little detail they wrote about the products they promoted.
I also think that it is a wrong marketing strategy to sell this kind of disappointing products. It makes people distrust. It makes them doubt if they will keep on buying.
I decided I will not return my Tweens DVD. I will maintain it as a symbol for my own careless way of buying. As I am a University Professor, I can use it as a very good example. I can also entertain my friends showing them what kind of fool am I. I think that at last, I can find many useful ways to enjoy it.
Notwithstanding, my honest advice is: Do not buy it!!, and Please, be careful!!
