Product does not work as described. This switch only works with a magnet, and then only when the magnet faces the switch with the correct pole. This switch does not detect metals or metalized objects, as claimed in the description. Also, the output voltage of the signal line does not match the power supply voltage to the switch. I used 5V as input voltage, the output voltage on the signal line was 3.5V - it should be 5V. The description misrepresents what this switch does. Getting returned to sender.

I admit I fired the first one but the second one I ordered I noticed the LED was dim when detecting a magnet. Two minutes into testing my Arduino code, it stopped working altogether. Voltage from Uno was 5 v (within Hall effect's parameters) and amperage was whatever the hall effect needed, nothing else was attached to the board.

It works well for what I needed. The sensor can pick up the magnet from about 1cm away. The indicator light that illuminates when it senses the magnet was extremely convenient, as well as the bolt shape, which made it easy to attach to my system.
