Twisted Death is the sequel to Twisted Fate and thankfully fills in some enormous gaps very quickly. If you read the first book, you know what I mean. When I read that final page of TF, I threw my Kindle down and had a temper tantrum because WHAT?! You’ve gotta read to find out.
I fell in love with Cole and his filthy mouth instantaneously. He is the type of naughty hero every dirty romance novel needs and Ace Gray freaking nailed it. Cole is the entire fantasy package wrapped up in gorgeous ink that I want to lick. Elle is lucky I love her so much otherwise I might be reduced to engage in unspeakable acts to make that man mine. Don’t even get me started on Horse…
Pretty sure none of this makes a lot of sense make overall just know you need to READ THIS SERIES! Twisted Fate and Twisted Death are by far my favorite dark romance reads of 2017, if not of all time. I love grit and grim and torture and unknowns… all of it. I’ll never get enough and thank goodness Ace was kind enough to share her overwhelming talent with us.
This story is a continuation from book 2, so definitely NOT as standalone novel. I strongly recommend re-reading book 1 before reading book 2 if it's been a while. I was confused when I started the book because there is definitely a time shift and trying to remember how book one left off. This book is dark, it's the seedy underbelly of the mob world, with sex slaves, death and mayhem all around. Cole is gone back to the Irish Mob and is now Mickeys right hand man. Elle and Horse are let to try to pick up the pieces of their life without the key person. Elle is a shell of her former self but tries to keep it together for Horse, and the hope she has for the future. Cole might not be dead, but he might as well with the way he is now. He's cold, dark and uncaring. Anything they might of had is gone.
Can these people find their way in through the darkness or will it conquer them all?
This book is filled with such anxiety towards the characters and their world. This is a dark twisted story that is not for the weak of heart. The characters will grab you and toss you around like a rag doll leaving you wondering wtf just happened. You know how you feel after a great romp in the hay? Like you need a stiff drink and a smoke? Well this book leaves you with a similar feeling, so be warned.
This story is dark & twisted, like I said before. There is murder, their is kidnapping, sex slavery, M/M, M/F/M, explicit and graphic sex scenes that are for mature audiences only.
This was another home run in my opinion and I can't wait to see what happens next.
I love this book more than the first one. It's darker, hotter and more twisted. Even the torture part is turning me on...yup my dark soul totally love it, although there's something that a bit weird for me, I'm really enjoying reading this book. There's some moments that I can't put it down and there's some moments that I just want to skip it and I kinda felt a bit rushed at the end. But overall love this book.
As for characters. I loveeeee Cole he's my Knight, he's so determined to protect his light and he's never give up. And Elle, this poor girl has been through plenty traumatized incidents, although she's broken she's still a strong person. As for horse, he's not fav character, he breaks Conrad's heart, totally understand why Conrad's gone MIA. I need to see Horse really crawl.
Yup this one totally an unconventional and twisted love story.
If you love something dark and twisted, this one is a must one.
THIS BOOK IS CRAZY INTENSE. The warning label on this book is no joke; I even questioned myself at points, "Sam, how screwed up are you really?"
BUT I LIKED IT- I REALLY LIKED IT.
Ace Gray calls these "twisted fairy tales" .. and yes these stories are twisted but they are comprise of aspects that no fairy tale should ever contain, but don't question whether the love is at an all time high.
The story line was unlike anything I have read- I wanted nothing more than to jump through the pages so I could help. I wanted Cole to look harder, to be quicker, but I also wanted Elle to fight harder. I cant imagine the struggle but I felt she was so tough in the first one. She gave up to the nothingness a little too soon for my liking. With that being said, I am completely gone for these characters. The things they went through- their push and pull to each other has me completely hooked and I tore through this book like it was nothing. I wanted it all.. and in the end, I was left thinking "WHAT?! I NEED IT ACE! gimme gimme gimme". I can't wait to see what kind of ride Horse takes us on.

This second part of the Twisted story is a lot darker, like ALOT darker. It’s very heavy on story.Read more
