On the day of her elaborate wedding, Anjali is beaten, drugged and kidnapped. When she regains herself slightly and tries to return to her family, they, believing she is a faker, throw her out, treat her horribly and want nothing to do with her.
Penniless and with no help Anjali battles back against a tremendous, hidden criminal conspiracy that is intent on taking everything away from her.
The many characters in this book felt realistic and relatable. The pace was perfect and dramatic. I could not put this book down until I finished it. I especially enjoyed the author’s style of showing how a crime can be so hidden through a massive conspiracy fueled by money, corruption and murder that no one believes the victim who loses everything and is in a constant struggle to not lose her faith.
In addition, the cover of the book was very appealing and the editing and formatting were both very well done.
The only very slight criticism of the book that I had was that at times some of the names of the characters were very similar and so I had to keep checking to make sure that I was keeping everyone straight.
In summary, this was a superb thriller that was great entertainment and a joy to read. I highly recommend it to adult readers who enjoy books in the mystery and thriller genres. I gladly rate it five out of five stars and would even rate it higher if I could. Don’t miss it!
Kidnapped on the eve of her wedding, Anjali goes to hell and back to recover her identity and get her fiance back. Little does she know that Umang has been abducted too!
A few things here...
I would have set the time frame back a few years to make the story a little more believable. Blood tests and fingerprints lessen the credibility of the story.
The book is written in blue font. Never read a book in blue before.
Decent read, recommended!
