I hate to join in with the haters, but the controls are VERY picky. Too picky. I have an EVO3G, so it's not exactly a bottom of the line touch screen. The game itself is fun, but the slow and finicky controls make it almost impossible to do some of the sections - there are parts that you must cross that dissapear and reappear at very quick intervals, so if you can't get the screen to respond, plunk! into the water you go! In particular it seems to me that rolling towards the top or left of the screen is tricky, rolling towards the bottom or right works fine, if sometimes slow.

The game idea is a good one, it's an imaginative take on countless versions of turn the block to manuever it games. I found the levels I did challenging, but unfortunately the controls really do ruin it. I would not recommend this for children because of that reason, though otherwise my six year old would love it. It really engages the spatial relationship part of your brain in a fun way, which is the only reason it's getting three stars. I really hope the developer will improve this and put out an update, in which case I might take a look at what other games they have. As it stands now, I'm glad I got to try it out as a FAOTD, but no dice on recommending it for purchase. Again, a shame, because it's nice to find a truly non-violent game for my kiddo.

I actually like puzzle games and I have now tested this app on the Kindle Fire and on my Samsung Epic and I have the same problem on both of them, overly sensitive (sometimes undersensitive) touch controls for the game motions. The game premise is simple try to move a caveman frozen in a block of ice to a fire to thaw him out. The trickis he has to be in a standing position on the fire for the ice to thaw. As I am playing the game and touch the screen to move the ice the game often seems to over compensate and go in a slightly different direction or move me twice instead of once (which often results in my death) There are other times as I am trying to move the caveman forward the game doesn't seem to recognize my motion causing me to swipe a little harder (thus causing the caveman to move twice instead of once) It would have been nice if the setting on the game allowed an adjustment for swiping. The game has potential to be a good puzzle game but not until they get the motion sensitivy adjusted.

This app is great for most people but it may frustrate kids. If you want to buy this for your child (9 and under) I don't recommend it. You have to a caveman in a block of ice over to a vent standing vertically without dropping him in water it's truly a fun, addictive game that makes you think. The graphics are really great considering my device is not HD. Overall it's a fun app.
I hope this helps you make an important decision!

Got this as the free app of the day have since deleted it as I did not find it to be worth saving. As far as the game itself it ran well and I did not have any issues playing it just was not the type of game that I like.

This game is easy yet challenging. The levels get harder as you go but you can still figure them out with a sense of logic and good hand control. I am playing on a kindle fire and the controls are fine once you see how the game works. You are required to move the caveman to the fire while walking on blocks of ice. The ice is not solid as you move up levels. The ice moves, crumbles and is sometimes missing below your feet. You must find ways to cross the hazards, roll the caveman on his side and building bridges are two ways that help. On a kindle fire this game is entertaining and not so hard that you are stuck on a level for days. I give this game 5 stars because it is exactly as described.

Let me first agree with what others have said: the touch controls on this are overly sensitive. I find myself knocking the caveman into the water multiple times per puzzle when I try to push one way and the controls read another.

But the only consequence of that is you start over where he fell off. So it's an annoyance, but no more.

And despite the annoyance, this game is addictive! It's easily my favorite game on the Kindle Fire right now. It takes planning, thought, geometrical reasoning, and persistence to solve each level.

I knocked off a star for the touch sensitivity, but I really enjoy this game!

the idea of the puzzle is fine, I took off 3 stars because the movement is way too imprecise. It might have been better to present a NSEW pad or at least recognise less than optimal swipes as being intended to do something "reasonable " rather than falling off all the time. This was on a 7"tablet! Cant imagine the frustration on phone.

good puzzle game. I have made it through about the first 10 puzzles. The problem is the controls are too touchy. If you are even the slightest off the iceman will flip into the water. (hint: you do not have to be touching the iceman to move, use a place elsewhere on the board. makes game play easier)
