"Patricia Gussin's Twisted Justice is a thriller that would've made Hitchcock proud: an innocent woman caught in a tangled web of intrigue and mortal danger. Here is a novel is as riveting as it is relentless, driving toward a climax that will have you burning through pages late into the night. Not to be missed!"

I will look for other books written by Patricia Gussin and know before purchase that I'll be up late at night looking for the next page.
That opening scene, however, was the highlight of the book. From there, it becomes a page-flipper (in contrast to a page-turner). I cared enough about the main character (barely) to find out how it all ended but after about the first third of the book, I spent about two seconds per page. Flip - scan - flip - scan - flip. Curiously, that was enough to follow the story all but completely.
The characters were flat. Our heroine was boring. Her husband was a less a character and more a caricature. I wanted to tell the author, "Yes. He's a complete pig. We GET it, already!" The supporting cast provided trite, even maudlin, dialog.
The story was mostly predictible. Yes, there was one little twist (oh, boy) but careful attention to dialog and other clues earlier in the book (in my case, that first third of the book) would have revealed that twist. On the other hand, the *way* in which the story arrived at its predictible ending was entirely implausible. To wit, her legal defense team were painfully buddy-buddy with her. That's just not the way those things go. Smart lawyers don't get personally entangled with their clients, especially not those accused of murder.
So, that's about it. The book was not worth reading, let alone spending any money on. I would advise you to buy another book instead. I hope my review was helpful to you.
The characters were real, consistent and personable. I found myself intrigued by the storyline, the constant twists and turns and challenges the characters faced. It was a multifaceted story that never made you wonder when it would get exciting again.....there was always something happening, which made the book difficult to put down. I recommend this book to anyone who likes a good, clean drama/mystery.
