At first I wasn't too SOLD on the girl in the story - Georgianna seemed way too snooty to be his match but the author did a great job at bring to light how Georgie really was and who she wanted to be.
It takes them awhile to see the light and stop fighting their attraction which was a nice change - no insta love.
Of course there is a "thing" that happens and while I get it, it was resolved and wrapped up WAY too easily. Even if it was all for the best.
I am VERY curious who Smalls will be hooked up with since basically no one mentioned was a good fit!! If you watch Big Brother this season I so see him as Mark!
And Racer is definitely one. hot. tradie.
And Racer and Georgie's my fav fandom OTP (Voltron's Keith and Allura) trope--knight/princess in medieval romance or commoner/aristocracy in Victorian romance; how a couple surpass, overcome challenges of classism/rank/status.
I must add, that Racer and G's verbal jabs were absolutely adorable and hilarious, they reminded me of anime/manga couple conflicts. I have never laughed so much from a romance book for quite a while.
Keen to ask though if there would be an Audible version soon?
