Twisted Veins High Speed HDMI Cable with Ethernet

This package includes a cable, a right angle adapter, and 3 micro microfiber cable ties.

All Twisted Veins cables conform to the latest HDMI standard and support high speed, ethernet, and audio return.

The HDMI Standard does not specify a maximum length. However, all Twisted Veins cables through 25’ are guaranteed to support signals up to 1080P and 4K. Twisted Veins 50’ and 100’ cables are guaranteed to support 720p/1080I and “may” support 1080P and 4K depending on the signal strength of your output device and other factors.

Twisted Veins 50’ and 100’ cables are non-amplified, so it is possible to use them with a head end amplifier. When paired with a head end splitter/amplifier, they should allow signals up to 4K to pass for multiple devices.

Some other cables already come with in-line booster amplifiers, but these are typically added to lower gauge cables and so even with the boosters they can only carry 720p/1080i signals reliably. You can tell by the weight of the cable. For example, some 100’ cables with boosters weigh only 5lbs, but a 100’ Twisted Veins cable without a booster weighs 11lbs.

Twisted Veins cables are available in 1.5’, 3', 6', 10', 15', 25’, 50’ and 100’ lengths along with multi packs and right angle adapters.

Absolutely freaking impressive!

I'm going to start this review off with a little praise for this company Twisted Veins. You can tell a lot about what a company thinks about its customers by the packaging they provide for their product. This company is an A++ organization. They didn't over complicate the HDMI and they provided superb extras with their product. Nothing a customer loves more then freebies! So with that being said, I was absolutely skeptical about the cable after seeing all the goodies. I thought to myself, "I've never heard of them, they gave me a bunch of cool freebies, in a great package, with a 50' HDMI for less then $30." Hmmm....this cable is going to be junk! They are trying to sell me the Twisted Veins name is what I immediately thought. BOY WAS I WRONG! This cable supported a great HDMI signal, 3D support (even though wasn't stated as supporting on the box). Just FYI, most High Speed HDMI cables with Ethernet (which is pretty much an obsolete feature, unless you don't have WiFi to run your electronics) support 3D. Doesn't need to say 3D on the box, don't buy into gimmicks....okay off my soap box. But this cable is legit. Quality build, great, fast, clean, High Def picture produced. I also beat the cable up to make sure it wasn't cheaply put together. I pulled it, yanked on it, stomped on it, and this beast held a picture through all the abuse. This is the cable I use with my home theater system. I can't sing this companies praise enough, for a 50' Monster HDMI it would cost upwards of $300 to produce the same exact picture. Don't waste your money on the big named guys cable when this cable will produce the exact same picture! Enjoy!!!

Work but is peeling

Mine came in with some of the outer layer already peeling and what looks like cork board coming out of it, Cable still works fine and for the price I'm not really going to hassle about sending it in for a replacement as it works so far. Will report back if it stops working.

I added a photo so you can see what I mean by coming undone.

50 feet of high quality HDMI, very well packaged, even comes with a bunch of little extras, like a little light thingy to help you find that HDMI port in the dark corner, a cloth for wiping down computer and TV screens, and L connector for going around corners. And all this for a fraction of the cost of such a cable from competitors?! Yes please. This is a ridiculously good deal. If you need 50 ft of HDMI and you are looking at this on Amazon, just buy it already.

Just note: The cable is very thick and pretty stiff. I got it around some corners just fine, but it is certainly a heavy duty cable, as a 50 footer should be.

Affordable cable that reaches where I need it to and works!

It's only been installed for a couple of days and hasn't been tested extensively, but so far I'm impressed! The price was great and Amazon Prime delivery was fast as normal. The braided nylon sheathing is a real nice touch and it feels durable. Both connectors seem to plug in tight and stay connected - which is good because I really don't want to have to mess with the connections later!

I bought this along with a USB to HDMI adapter (https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00L3Z7E3W/) to connect an HD TV to the laptop at Church. I'm now able to mirror the projector that the congregation can see to a TV in the back that the song leader can see and we can all sing the same words!

In the package was:
The cable
Right-angle adapter
Velcro strips
Microfiber cleaning cloth (not sure why this was included, but not complaining)
And a bright LED keychain flashlight

We are getting flickering pixels, but I think this is a result of using a USB 3.0 to HDMI display adapter on a laptop with only USB 2.0 ports. I'll have to test later with a better laptop to verify that it's the adapter/computer and not this cable. I'll update this review later if/when there i any change in behavior.

8/9/2016 Update: I got to my office today and was contacted by Twisted Veins and informed that despite Amazon having a 30 day refund period, TWISTED VEINS has a lifetime guarantee on their HDMI cables. I was very impressed with this and their willingness to stand behind their product. I updated the review to 5 starts b/c in my opinion a lifetime is a very very long time and that is great to see a company stand behind their products like that. For now I will chalk up this up as a fluke that we had the trouble we did.

Original Post:
I was disappointed. Ordered three of them. My IT guy told me two of them did not work. It wasn't until after a number of other trouble shooting that we realized that it was the cable and not something else. I had used Twisted Veins before for HDMI needs, but after this experience, I will look somewhere else. Items were not eligible for return b/c it was 15 days outside the return period of 30 days. The items sat in a box while construction of my 5th dental op was being completed. I was just purchasing these little IT items early so I would have to worry about them later. I guess that was a mistake.
