"There is nothing else out there like On Two Fronts by Sgt Adam Fenner and Lance Taubold. It's not a book about war; it's a book about people, about separation, about living, home, friends, love, and heartache. I love this book--it's the real life day to day and human element that goes beyond places, facts, figures, and politics. It's a story for those who have served and for those who have stayed home. From the beautiful cover to the last page--it's a book that touches everyone alive today." Heather Graham, NY Times Bestselling Author

That's another generic term "keep us safe." Do we even know what we're being kept safe from? Part of the stories that stood out to me were about how the women are treated in Afghanistan. I've never experienced anything like that in my life -- and I hope I never do. The reason I haven't been treated like this is because of people like you who are brave enough and willing to sacrifice. A lot.
Many of the stories were frustrating, disturbing... and sad. I didn't realize all the waiting that is involved over there. Or, the politics that, even across the world, seem to seep into strategies and hinder progress.
The writing in this book is very powerful.
I don't know why anyone who reads this wouldn't see through the bulls***, swearing and cold correspondences to see that there's a lot of heart here.
I don't want to give away anything but just let me say, Adam, I think you and those like you have made a greater positive influence on that little part of the sandbox than you will know. Only the future will tell. This book gives someone like me a greater appreciation for what those who serve our country go through when in Afghanistan. What makes this book extra special are the links to all the photos and videos. This is one book in my library that I will read often. It is well worth the purchase. I encourage both authors to continue writing. Thank you both for undertaking this project.
Luckily the book is interspersed with comments by both writers, and I loved how humorous some of them were. Especially the eye-rolling! it helped me as a reader because the book is very intense and raises so many questions. I feel as if I could talk to the authors for hours going over everything, and there would still be so much I know I could never understand.
If you have a loved one in the military you'll really be able to relate to this story. If not, you'll learn what it's like. A great book.
I got a great kick out of the Army humor and silliness that is such a part of our lives and they are both clear voiced writers, making me feel there in the moments.
A good book that is getting passed around my family.
