Part of this book shows Tanner backing up an inexperienced, but dedicated man on a mission, and part of it takes us back to how Tanner met his future friend, Joe. The Tanner stories (starting with INEVITABLE I) pull you in and won't let you go. You know you'll enjoy a book by Remington Kane. This was an ARC of a digital copy.
I've read most of these books and just when you think you know all about Tanner the author throws in a new twist to the legend that Tanner has become.
These are quick reads but packed with action. The plot lines are generally not very convoluted which makes them enjoyable for a quick escape from reality without having to engage your brain to follow along.
While not my favorite in the series I'd still recommend it to any fan of action/thrillers.
Some of the plot lines suffered some simply because it is a quick read. They would have benefited from a longer story but as they were really sub-plots for some of the characters it doesn't really affect the overall reading pleasure that I get from a Tanner book.
We do find out the beginning history of Pullo and Tanner and the events that cemented the quasi-friendship, but we also lose a memorable character that will be missed by fans.
Several sub plots keep you guessing and the entire story holds your attention until the end. Can't wait for the next action packed
If you haven't read the other Tanner books read all the others in order...after you finish this one. Marvelous reads.
