The book actually starts very lighthearted with a ton of very funny passages, but quickly takes a dark turn and gets lost on itself, the story stops making sense after a hundred pages or so. The basic idea is interesting, but being a farce in itself, while not keep it funny? That's exactly what the movie does.
Other than this, the style is ok, it's quite easy to read.
This book is late in the series, probably number 5 or 6, but they're all great, indeed sometimes a downright roaring laugh.
If you like the idea of light-weight criminals seriously trying to make a living, thus planning ways to make some real money; plans going wrong, silly mistakes, trip ups etc, read this series.
They are all 'real fun'.
But, again, the plot is classic and worth the read in spite of the difficulty. I rate it three stars because of the digital edition. If I were rating the print edition I would probably rate it higher.
