So cool to have a whole home surround system playing as you walk throughout the house. I love that each speaker volume can be independently changed through the mobile app. That way, I can turn it up in a room that I am working in and allow the others to play at a lower volume. I also never get out of hearing range of my favorite songs.

I am picky about my audio and was concerned that, like a lot of well-rated speakers, the output would be a loud, thumping, muddy output. I was also concerned about the set up since I have a Netgear Orbi system and in doing my research, it appeared a lot of SONOS users had difficulty getting their home Orbi network to recognize SONOS. My speakers were quickly identified and set up was a breeze - another surprise! I started to set these up later in the evening on a Friday, anticipating I would finish up on Saturday, fully expecting to run into snags. The interface, setting up the service, pairing two speakers to act as stereo speakers went quick. I got the SL since I didn't need Alexa built-in, she's all-over my house already. I was able to connect with my Echo stuff and now I can tell Alexa to play BBC news from Sirius in the Kitchen - no tweeking, it just works! I set alarm for different times depending on the day of the week and set to play different music. I'm really impressed with the sound - nice, crisp and balanced with the right amount of bass. These speakers exceeded my expectations in appearance (beautiful look - I got the white color), sound, interface and capability. Solid build quality!! I have these mounted on my wall in my kitchen and while I've only had them up a few days, I have used them (and enjoyed them) a lot!!! I'm a believer in this product and would highly recommend it if you want a diverse speaker that not only looks good but sounds amazing as well.

Excellent speaker for Apple users

I use a lot of Apple products. My last wireless speaker product was from Bose, and while the sound quality was fine the product itself only supported wireless through bluetooth, not Apple AirPlay. I struggled with the usual bluetooth issues -- random disconnects, distance issues, device synchronization and I frankly got fed up and stopped using the product.

I was a bit leery before purchasing the Sonos product. These speakers are not cheap and I was afraid of (again!) waisting my money.

Short version is that these are not a waste. They take a few minutes to set up using a separate app from a mobile device. They then sync up perfectly with any Apple devices that support AirPlay. You can then stream to these speakers wirelessly from your phone, pad or computer. The speakers stay connected without random disconnects, because they rely on wifi and/or cable, their range is whatever range you get from your network. (I can stream from one end of my house to the other, and the Sonos speaker stays perfectly in sync with any other device I have connected to the same stream.) And they have a reasonable sound quality for the price.

I don't know that you'd want to move these around much, but you can -- size and portability is also good.

My only problem now is figuring how many to buy. Not just because I would be nice to have these in multiple locations, but also because you can configure these to run in groups.

If you want speakers that just work, forget Sonos

What a frustratingly bad experience. I've purchased the first 3 in 2018, they worked for about a week until connectivity issues developed. The app constantly updates, crashes, doesn't see the system etc. Moved locations, foolishly bought 5 more speakers and they all randomly play their own out of sync tunes, stop altogether randomly and often times just do not work at all. On advice of Sonos zealots, ended up buying a new router and creating a whole new Wi-Fi network, just for the speakers. Made absolutely no difference. Then, being already 8 speakers into this system that are now mounted throughout the home, thought I'd eliminate the Wi-Fi from the equation (though it works perfectly fine for all other devices on the work) and hardwire each Sonos speaker with Ethernet cables. After wiring over 500 feet of cable and getting them on their own wired network, on a dedicated router, the Sonos app won't play because the laptop I'm playing from is not on the same Wi-Fi as the speakers (keep in mind, the speakers are hard wired at this point). Ok, that's fine Sonos. I'll shell out another $550 and buy a Sonos Five that has a 3.5 mm input. This way I can feed it the sound through a wired 3.5mm cable, that then using SonosNet (either via Wi-Fi or the ethernet cable) the Sonos system can play on all the other speakers. NOP. You can't play audio through the 3.5mm into the speaker unless you're connected to Wi-Fi on the same network as the speakers. Absolute insanity! On any device I've ever touched in 25 years of working in tech, you plug in a 3.5mm jack into a speaker and it plays. But nooo, Sonos requires that the device you play from is connected to the Internet, via the same Wi-Fi network as the speakers, all so that you can play music via wired 3.5mm and via wired ethernet. What an absurdly designed product. Never have I been more frustrated by a device as I have with the Sonos speakers. I've probably spent a week of my life diagnosing and installing these. They are just not worth the money, and most certainly not worth the time. There are much better sounding speakers out there with far better connectivity. Don't make my mistake.

Es un sonido claro preciso y espectacular. Yo las uso como satélites de un sonido envolvente 5.1 y aun así son espectaculares. Fácil de instalar, solo se siguen las instrucciones en la app y en diez minutos ya tienes tu sonido envolvente. Al día de hoy 16 de agosto es un producto que a bajado un poco de precio a lo que yo las adquirí, por lo que aun valen más la pena.
