I received an advance reader copy of this book and this is my voluntary and honest review.
Ivy and Dylan's relationship was explosive from the very beginning. However, at one point, Ivy decides that she loves Dylan so much and wants his career to be the best. So, what does she do? Make him thing she did something awful, leave and file for divorce! Can you believe it, and he even really believed what he thought he saw!
Now, it's Dylan's turn to hurt Ivy. He comes up with a plan to pay her back because he found out his eyes deceived him. Can he really do it? Does he still love her so much he can't go through with it?
Ivy returns to LA for the confrontation that Dylan has been waiting for. When she gets there what happens is anything but what Dylan, or Ivy, was expecting. Two somethings unexpected happens leaving Ivy with another secret she just can't tell Dylan, again for his career and another chance at love, and Dylan with a secret that can hurt Ivy more than he ever really wanted to. It wasn't even intentional but will still be devastating for her.
Can their TWO WRONGS make a Rite?
YOU JUST HAVE TO READ IT!!!!! Make sure to leave time because you WON'T WANT TO PUT IT DOWN!
Who is next in the series? I wonder if it will be Mac, Ivy's brother. Oh, Wait! What about Fin and Kit? I'd LOVE to see that. Come on Donna, give us a hint of what is coming up next! PLEASE!
This is a VOLUNTARY review of an advanced AND PURCHASED copy of this book.
Before this book, I erroneously thought that math class was the only place you could take two negatives and make a positive. That was before I read this book! I won't rehash the synopsis, that's not the purpose for any of my reviews. I will give you an honest endorsement of this book.
There were many secrets hinted to in OHS, and I recommend you read that book first. BUT...you could read them out of order if that's your thing....IMO, it doesn't do you a disservice as there's a bit of a time overlap in the plots of both books. But this book...it runs the gamut. It made me laugh, it made me ache. Their pain was felt so keenly that I cried in parts because who hasn't had that experience of a love going cold? If you haven't, you're a lucky person indeed. This is a book of second chances, of redemption, of misunderstandings, of homecoming.
This book was one of the most poignant and beautiful books that I've read this year. Considering the rate I go through books, that's saying something. (8-16 audiobooks per month, about as many eBooks and paper books per month...I'm just really bad at updating my progress, too busy reading!)
It will hit you square in the feelings, it will make you fall in love with the characters as they fall back in love all over again and it will leave you panting for more. The chemistry is so hot that it sizzles. Keep some ice handy to cool down from the parts that are more mature in content. I hope to see this author continue this series of books because I am dying to see what happens next.
Grab it, devour it, feel it and know that this is one you will read time and time again...this book is a total keeper. It will also keep you guessing while you find yourself holding your breath while hoping Ivy and Dylan find a way to clear up their wrongs and somehow make it right, if I could give it more than 5 stars, I would!
It is so unfortunate that Ivy and Dylan, obviously meant for each other, get off track and separate (a few times). They're incredibly good together and a mega mess when apart. The reason for Ivy's initial departure is not revealed to Dylan until their squabbles are all ironed out. Disgusting circumstances, handled appropriately so much later.
When they're together, look out! Or you might hear him threaten something like, "Meet me in the bathroom in five. Your sweet 'body part' and my face have a date."
There are plenty of beautiful, intriguing lines like "Before I know it, I sense him standing behind me. He whispers my name, or is it the sea?"
A good scene of jealousy or three always adds to a good tale. Here we have fists to the face, clenched fists, internal angst and this hot description when Dylan discovers he can't stand to observe Ivy with another man.
"‘That’s enough.’ His voice isn’t loud, but it might’ve been less frightening if he’d actually yelled. ‘Get the ** off my wife.’"
What follows is angry, make up sex and it is always fun, although it might be rough!
