Wait a minute, I remember why I bought them. I needed an extra five bucks to get free shipping on a book! The book turned out to be terrible but these are sure great.
They came in a bag a little bent up, but they all straighten out and work just fine. When they are plugged into vacant plates there is a noticeable gain on some of my weaker tv stations for the remaining televisions.
The way I understand it you are literally spitting usable signal out of unscrewed tables or terminals, with these you cap it off and the signal goes where it belongs.
I couldn't believe my eyes. I now get 44 channels coming in loud and clear. This is the best AV investment I've made in a long time!
They are made of sturdy metal and are a snap (or a screw, as it were) to install. The center conductor is bent slightly for shipping purposes...likely nothing you haven't seen on coax cable at other times. Just bend it back to the correct spot before installation.
Keep in mind that you may need female-female adapters like this ("F-Pin Coupler, Female / Female") depending on how your coax comes out of the wall.
I ordered an 8 port amplifier unit so I would be able to get a good signal to each television. When I got everything hooked up, I wasn't getting all my stations. I ordered these little guys and attached one to each unused connector on the amplifier and BAM, I was more broadcast stations than I had ever gotten before.
I almost ended up ordering a bigger, more expensive antenna. I am so luck I stumbled upon this item.
