I read Melissa Eisler’s book in 2 evenings. It reads like a guide: fast and easy. There is no extra fluff. The instructions are easy to follow. I enjoyed Melissa’s story as well: she comes across as a very humble yet knowledgeable teacher who went through some tough times in her life and was able to overcome all the challenges and grow. I decided to start with just 7 minutes of daily breathing/meditation routine following her guide. So far it has been working for me very well: I’ve become less reactive, my mood throughout the day has improved and overall I feel like I have better control of my attitude towards external events and feel happier. I would highly recommend this book to anyone, especially if you are new to meditation.
