Brief Summary of the Storyline: This is Do/Ray and King's story. It takes off right where King ended. We get Doe/Ray with her old family before the memory loss, and having to try to fit back into her old life. It doesn't work so easily, but she has some memories coming back slowly. There is some major criminal drama that King is dealing with, some family issues for Doe, some sexy times, and a sweet epilogue...and they get their HEA ending.
POV: This alternated between Doe/Ray and King's POV.
Overall Pace of Story: Ok. I never skimmed and it flowed well, but I needed more happiness after all of the heavy in the end before the epilogue.
Instalove: No, feelings of love were already there from book 1.
H rating: 4 stars. I liked him better in this one. He handled stuff in a brutal and not "good guy" way, but it was his way. I really like how he expressed his love for his daughter.
h rating: 3 stars. Doe/Ray. She was just ok in this for me. I felt like she had a lot going on, but she became a little whiny (even though I need to stop being mean to hs and give her some slack because she was going through a lot).
Sadness level: Low. No tissues needed for me.
Heat level: Moderate. Not as many scenes, but still good chemistry.
Descriptive sex: Yes
Safe sex: No. Still no condom use, std stats talk, or birth control.
OW/OM drama: Yes
Sex scene with OW or OM:No
Cheating: Not really
Possible Triggers: Mild compared to first book
Closure: This had ok closure with a HEA ending, but I wanted more of their happy times before the ending.
How I got it: I paid the $3.99 on Amazon.
Anything you thought you knew, or anything you suspected you might know after reading King by TM Frazier, throw it out the window now. Don't trust the Tyrant.. and don't trust what you think. What you suspect, or even think you may know, you have no idea. Not. Even Close. If you thought you loved King before, buckle your seat-belts, look straight ahead, and keep your hands inside the car at all times, because this roller-coaster is just getting started.
"Oh, Pup. I'm pretty sure even death couldn't keep me from you."
With truth comes dark... and the truths that unfold? Who in the? What in the? Where in the??? This was the perfect duet to an incredible story. I can't put into words just how much I loved this book. The leads were laid out impeccably, I loved them both and hurt for both of them. The supporting cast in this? Brilliant. The epilogue to this book? Uhmmm... yeah.
Made my flesh pebble.
"This thing between us. Whatever it is. It's not something that just goes away."
I missed King while he was away from Doe. These two are so perfect for each other. They might not be conventional but I think that's what makes them so fantastic. They're two very strong people that endured a lot. I loved how it ended and I can't wait to read Bear's stories!! I was so excited to see that not only will he get his own books but I love how they all kind of weave together to join into one large story arc.
Though I own the Kindle version, I listened to this book on audio and it was fantastic. I really enjoyed the narrators and their portrayals of the characters. I look forward to more on audio from this series in the future.
Fan girl for TM Frazier!!!!! Can't wait to dive into Bear's story!!!!
Doe is getting her memories back. She still can't remember everything, but, some bits and piece's are coming in.
King is fighting for his life & friends.
Bear get's caught up in a mess with King. Bear goes back to the MC club house. His Pops says to stay away from King. How do you stay away from someone you call your brother? King needs Bear's help, and Bear leaves to help him.
King finds Doe again, and rescue's her. The villain I was surprised at, not that all rich people are above the law, but, some hid it better being rich.
