This is the closest thing to professional grade clear coat from a spray paint rattle can. I used this product to repair curb rash on a 2014 VW Passat Alloy Rim. After allowing the Dupli-color Reflex Silver Metallic to dry for 30 minutes, 3 coats of 2K High Gloss Clear coat were added for a glossy finish. The results were awesome.
This product will expire in about 48 hours after activation so plan ahead for multiple projects. I had a lot of paint left from repairing 1 rim, so the next day I used the remainder of the 2K Clear to restore my headlights. Again, this stuff worked like magic

My project for this clearcoat product was to match my 15 year old cars existing factory clearcoat finish, and I'm happy to say I was successful!
My cars (4runner) bumper has three parts and one section was rusting. I thought I could fix the heavily rusted section but it was too pitted, so I bought an aftermarket bumper section that was primed and went from there. Surface area of the bumper section is about 24" x 12". I used two cans of Dupli-Color and 3/4 of one can of this USC Spray Max 2k High Gloss Clearcoat. I suspended the bumper section on one side of the garage door track with wires at chest height, as close to the center of the garage as possible as I've done with like size spray paint projects that I've done many times before.
I'm not looking to repeat the same info that others have posted, so I'll comment on what surprised me:
Dupli-Color did leave some light orange peel but I read that it is normal for a standard factory auto paint to have a little orange peel, so I just did a little light sanding before the clearcoat. This clearcoat is very different to any paint I've used before! A quality air mask is a MUST when you use it, I would say even if you use it outdoors. This clearcoat also left a bonded textured film from the overspray and application mist on EVERY surface in the whole garage! I mean everything, lawnmower, hand tools, produces on shelfs, trash cans, hoses, even the door knob into the house! I've spayed 12-14 cans of other paints and lacquers with only the garage floor being effected by the overspray and that always swept up as dust after. Not this stuff! If I used it again I would buy a used tent and spray it inside the tent because even outside in the yard would have issues, like flying bugs!
Also, once it's on your part (or anything it touches) it bonds to the surface (hence a quality air mask). Removing it wet or dry will be an insanely difficult job, so use caution.
It takes time to cure fully. It's now been about a month and the finish is as hard as the original (not that it takes a month to cure, but give it mutable days to set completely)
Very happy with the product and would use it again!
Please note this review does not reflect any opinion regarding the product after application as I never had a chance to do so.
What occurred with my purchase was that I had stored the can on a shelf in my temperature controlled work area (can was never exposed to anything outside of comfortable room temp)
While moving a box on the same shelf, the spray can tipped over. Note, it did not fall off the shelf, merely tipped from sitting on it's bottom to lying on it's side, on a soft pine shelf...
The can side instantly ruptured and began ejecting it's pressurized contents all over the surrounding area. Doused the shelf, everything on it, everything on the shelf below and a laptop computer sitting on the bench under the shelves, before I could find a box to toss the leaking can into. Fumes were terrible and trying to clean the contaminated items was worse.
Examination after the fact revealed the can sides to be VERY thin (think just slightly heavier than modern flimsy soda can gauge).
Given this experience, even if the paint product is good, I just want to caution purchasers to keep the can wrapped in plastic, and preferably in a cardboard box and well away from anything valuable until ready for use.
